  • My phone has an eSIM active already, do you know if multiple eSIMs can be added to Samsung phones? (Even if only 1 can be active at a time)

  • +1

    Hi R-Man,

I believe you can have as many as 10 installed on your device at any one time, but of course only one can be active!

    I hope this helps,

    Regards,

    James

  • any indication what expected speeds are like? e.g. as good as local 4G speeds in the country of roaming or is it more like Optus roaming plans where all connections have to go through Australian networks first?

    • Hi Itwo,

      Great question!

Flexiroam's PoP is in Europe, so typically you'll receive better performance particularly in the northern hemisphere.

      I hope this helps.

      Regards,

      James

      • mmm yeah so it might be relatively slow in SE Asia or maybe the Far East then.

        • Hi itwo,

For the vast majority of use cases, it performs really well. Even with the most latency sesntivie applications (voice) you should be fine.

I've used it extensively throughout the world and I'm sure many here on OzB can attest to it's performance.

Of course we all value things differently, so convenience, cost, longevity of data, data gifting all come into it.

Specifically something that I find useful with Flexiroam over a local SIM is often having access to multiple networks in a country. For me coverage trumps all else!

          Cheers,

          James

  • I'm spending a week in Jordan. Any idea what the coverage is like there?

  • Am I correct in assuming these are data only sims?

    • Hi dj,

Strictly speaking Yes. They don't have a number, however they do have a unique & nifty feature in that you can make outbound calls with your own number.

If you need a 2nd number, there are plenty of Apps available, some are even free. Failing this you can always use your work Teams, Zoom or Skype number if you have one.

Failing all of that, iPhone users can still call ech other over data with facetime and failing thats you of course have WhatsApp etc.

      I hope this helps.

      Regards,

      James

  • Hi Gary,

I've never been to Jordan, but Flexiroam use Zain as the local carrier. You should be fine!

    Cheers,

    James

    • Thanks

  • Just got back from a trip and this would've been great. Can I buy a 180 day plan now and hold onto it for future use, or will it expire soon after purchase?

    • oh dear,

The SIM never expires. If you purchase the 180 day plan you have 90 days to activate it. Once activated you can always rollover unused data before expiry by making another purchase.

If you don't want to buy another Data Plan, you can also share any of your remaining data to other Flexiroam users no matter where they are, so make sure your friends an family get one too! ;)

      I hope this helps,

      Regards,

      James

  • If I need a microSIM, do I get the SIM version or the microchip version?

    • Both will fit. The Sim Card is a standard 3-in-1 SIM. The Micrcohip "sticker" is quite unique. It sticks onto you original SIM Card an enables you to switch via the App.

      Cheers,

      James

  • does this work with an S20FE 5g?

    • Yes it does!

  • How long before you get the ESIM?

I figured it should be quick but still waiting?

    • Hi Gary,

It might have been caught in your junk folder.

Please let me know if you haven't received it.

      Regards,

      James

      • Definitely not in my junk folder so please do follow up.

        Thanks
