NZXT H510 Flow Tempered Glass Mid Tower Case, Black / White $129 + $5.99 Delivery ($0 mVIP/ SYD C&C) + Surcharge @ Mwave

130

I really love the H510 Series' aesthetic (owning an Elite myself), so it's good to finally have a model with some airflow (breathe, damn you!). It's also reviewing very well.
Because I'm an idiot I personally purchased this just to get the front panel to swap out the one on my elite after weeks of trying every method possible to get one on its own and it works out cheaper than buying one of custom etsy jobs that also don't have a dust filter.

This price also makes it cheaper than all the other h510 series hot boxes, which is a plus. 1%/2% surcharge applies for select payment methods.

Description from the website:
· An optimised perforated top panel delivers increased airflow to your system for improved temperatures
· Iconic cable management bar and uninterrupted tempered-glass side panel
· Cable routing kit with pre-installed channels and straps
· Two Aer F120mm fans and removable filters on all air intakes
· Clean, Modern Design for a stunning build

This compact mid-tower is an ideal case for high-performance builds and features a perforated front panel for maximised airflow. The H510 is easy to build in and offers flexibility for a variety of ATX parts.

Airflow at the cost of aesthetic…
The front now looks ugly IMHO.

    • Considering how other airflow cases look at the front I'd argue that it's a big improvment over those.
Yes, the glass looks much better, but I think it's a very fair tradeoff.

In the Elite my CPU (AMD Ryzen 9 5950X) temps are hitting mid to high 90's with the dront panel on - take the panel off and it's high 60's - Huge difference.

    • True but something need to be given. I came from Lian Li o11 case to Fractal Meshify S2 and my 5900x cpu is on 35c idle and 60c on max.

      • What was it before? What CPU cooler? What GPU do you have?

        • when I used Lian Li with Kraken X72, it was 50 on idle.
Now with Meshify S2, and NH U12A cooler its 35 on idle.

          GPU? I still use 1070.

          • @Dalgona456: Not sure why it would ever be 50 on idle. Perhaps it wasn't seated correctly or something wrong with the thermal paste? I have a hard time thinking why there would be a 15 degree difference unless it was for those reasons. For reference, I have an air cooler in a fractal define 7 compact (non airflow) and I also have 33-35C idle on a 5900x.

            • @ATangk: I dont know mate. It was around 50 with X72 and Corsair H150i Pro XT something. Maybe intake airflow wasnt good enough?
Only things got changed is the case and from Liquid cooler -> Air cooler.
Anyway I'm happy now with everything.

            • @ATangk: do you undervolt or something ? My 5900x at stock is around 50 C idle, and this is with X63 Kraken. I doubt case makes any difference to idle temp

@Danny N: Nope. Perhaps it's like with the other OzBargainer, they also used an AIO. I use a large tower air cooler instead and it runs practically silent.

As slick and nice as they are and as much as the flow variant is a step in the right direction, I still need more air and more flow. In my P400a which is $10 more I have 3 intake fans cooling the radiator, the 2 radiator fans pushing heat away and out and 2 more fans on top bringing in cool, my rig can be on for 10 hours and the entire thing is chilled except the exhaust of course.

Hope they do more with this "flow" step cause as I said the NZXTs are so nice aesthetically.

Yeah, it would be nice to have a bit more air but that's never been NZXT's market. Plus extreme airflow is a crowded domain at the moment that they just wouldn't be able to compete with.
I feel like the flow is a perfect balance between air and aesthetic - but that's just my opinion

    Good deal.

Another alternate is the Corsair 4000D Airflow, which is currently $116 on Amazon. Corsair case is less bling. Good deal if you have Prime.

For some reason, I keep holding off upgrading my current case (Antec GS1200) for a case with 200 mm fans in the front. Of course I love my RGB as well and plan to upgrade from stock Wraith prism for my 3700x to an AIO 280 or 360mm radiator. Am I right in looking for twin 200mm fan cases or will this one be a better option? And dont forget the RGB :)

I built new recently (with 12600k release pretty much) And for the first time I went 360mm on front (3 120mm ofc) with P400a white version, only downside to this case is radiator has to be mounted on the front and even then it's only easy with a 240mm radiator but it has kept everything so ridiculously cool. My look RGB wise is all chrome/black with white case and white lights and I love it.

  • can i install 360mm Liquid CPU Cooler in this case?

    • +1

      Nope.

      Fan Support: 2x 120mm/2x 140mm (Front), 1x 120mm/1x 140mm (Top), 1x 120mm (Rear)

I have this case and the air flow is great (although mine is a little older with the white front)
    Giga 2070
    i5 i5 9600k
    Z390 Aorus Board
Coolmaster CPU Liquid water cooler 240L
    32 GB of Skill Ram
The case is not cramped and is does allow air to flow in and out of the air case

Honestly it's pathetic that it took them this long to add ventilation to the front, the glass hotbox design was awful.

    • glad that trend is somewhat over

  • Cheaper for pickup at Umart, $124 for white and $123 for black

    • Not seeing it on Umart at those prices did they update it?
