I have been looking at a set of desktop/bookshelf powered speakers and these seem to hit the sweet spot for price vs quality and size.

While I do agree with this sentiment, this is not a Kogan branded product, they are just the seller.
Bought havaianas and they aren’t the same quality as SDS…..they felt like cheap plastic and hurt my feet.

hmm… this I didn't know/haven't experienced. The only time I bought from Kogan in the past was probably 5 or 6 years ago and that was just a small USB SD card reader. I will cross my fingers…
If you are spending this much, I’d also have a look at the new Q Acoustics m20
yep they were also on my list. They are slightly more exxy but the feature set looks very good, but the aesthetic (plain black) and size (30cm deep!) put me off.
Only bought a couple things from Kogan and ALWAYS been disappointed with the quality.
