Same could be said about so many brands of alcohol. Dan's may be big in size but they're seriously lacking in variety I find.
Where do you go that has more variety? Don't get me wrong, there's places that have more variety within specific categories - but on an overall basis I don't think your comment stacks up.
Answered your own question. There's places that hold more variety within specific categories. Otherwise Dan's is just like any other places - stocks a little bit of everything.
@Clear: you must be going to some very small dan murphys…
Specialist places often have way less overall variety, they just have more variety in the specific category I'm looking at - e.g. high end independent craft beer (Carwyn Cellars for instance).
The amount of individual item's stocked at Dan's would significantly exceed most other liquor stores. More items = variety.
@Bargain Slut: Hence the word specialist yeah?
@Clear: I'm beginning to think you're actually scomo and the profile pic isn't for the lols.
@Bargain Slut: Dunno what the big deal with his welding was. He did it properly.
Past experience says that any deal from Dans with a wine you have never heard and without an expert review is to be avoided like the plague.
Instructions unclear. Invading southern border.
At $6.58/bottle, I doubt equivalently priced alternatives are going to be any better.
And Dan can you please stop calling me re your latest hot deal - there is a reason I have not answered/blocked your calls for the last couple of years.
That’s very cheap. Worst comes to worst you have a lot of cooking wine
Never cook with bad wine.
If you won't drink it, you don't cook with it.
I bought a case of Cloud Temple Geographe Grenache Shiraz 2019 from Dan's in mid 2021 for $35 for 6 and it was fantastic. No idea if this will be any good but don't dismiss just because it's cheap - that's not the OzB way! Great artistic labels too.
If it really is a good value wine, why is Dan's not buying it themselves to stock?
Or any other liquor store?
