    KeepSolid

    that's what..

    • tungsten said.

  • Noice, cheers! (code is generic and it works a treat, I had to verify my email using the link they sent before the code would work)

"shareware on sale" sounds so dogey…
and the install tries to ask you if you want to install pop up ads
    hmmm… nah, pass…

    • +4

You don't really need to install the software from the site. You can just use the code and then install from the actual site if you want.

  • Weks i got lifetime licence with them

    • how?

      • +3

I did too. It is limited (can’t use torrents, for example) and hit and miss for stuff like accessing bbc or us Netflix.
But for my purposes of occasional use on public wifi and spoofing geo restrictions, it works.
It was sold on somewhere like stacksocial a year or two ago.
They offer me upgrades to the full product.

        • BBC?

          • @rasserie: Their iView platform is region locked.

            • +1

@mskeggs: They have a specific server for iPlayer too.

              My lifetime subs include torrents.

Maybe add the VPNU6MONTH coupon to your account ro unlock it?

          • @rasserie: You really need privacy when accessing BBC

        • How did you get Lifetime ?

        • It worked well for me (netflix, prime, etc)

        • +1

Odd, I got a lifetime sub and everything works fine. The app literally has a tab that says torrents.
(torrents only work on some servers)

        • I have torrents with them.

I got a lifetime sub after I bought a PureVPN 'lifetime' subscription that needed to be renewed every 5 years. When I contacted them about renewing they no longer had PureVPN, but said they could give me a lifetime licence for KeepSolid instead.

It isn't as good, but works pretty well. Sometimes I have to connect multiple times to get full speed. Sometimes it connects but speed is insanely low. Never had a problem with PureVPN before that.

Although Ivacy is better. VPN unlimited is fairly slow.

        https://stacksocial.com/sales/ivacy-vpn-lifetime-subscriptio…

I got Ivacy lifetime 5yrs ago. You need to "renew" it for free every 5yrs. Which took 2mins on livechat the other day.

It's not as quick as day Nord, but it seems to get blocked rarely. US tv & Netflix works, UK tv works.

        • Mine just turned 4. I never knew about this 5 year 'renewal' thing. Did you know about it before it 'expired'?

          • +1

@McFly: I vaguely remembered when I signed up it was in the email. I thought they might say no, but it was an apology & just resign in again. Tada!

            • @M00Cow: I had PureVPN 'lifetime' with them. Went to renew and they could no longer do PureVPN but they did offer to move me to the KeepSolid vpn unlimited lifetime which I accepted so even if they don't have the product they renew with something reasonably similar.

              • @johndoh89: I didn't deal with StackSocial, I went straight to Ivacy.
Maybe contact PureVPN & ask them to extend it?

                • @M00Cow: Expired nearly a year ago now so probably not worth it.

        • +1

Just found this from when I signed up:

You have activated a Redeem Code and 100 years access of VPN Unlimited service has been added to your account.

I'm booking in Lionel Hutz to represent me in 2115!

    • How did you get Lifetime?

    • Where to use this code ? Did not find a place in app to input

      • +1

Login via website and there is redeem code

    • I already posted it

  • +4

Why not just post all your personal info online yourself at that point?

    • Why do it yourself when you can get the owner of Drop coffee to do it for you?

  • +2

Thanks just extended another 6 monthes on top of what i had left from the last promo via this code. 👌

  • +1

If the product is free, guess who the real product is?

    • It's not only free, they have paid options, its a free trial.
I just turn the extension off when I am not using it.

  • Where to use this code ? Did not find a place in app to input

    • +3

I did by logging into my account through browser. And then "Redeem" option

  • +1

Got it, Not on the app but can be done through web!!! They should have given this option through app as well.

Thanks, I launched the windows x86 application and then punched in the code (VPNU6MONTH) and extended it by 6 mos. Did not need to visit Sharewareonsale at all.

    Thanks heaps mate, worked smooth

  • Bought life time pass from Stacksocial last year. Works fine. No reason to reject the 6 month free offer.

    • missed that deal

  • Worked on my existing 6-month free account, now it has 7.5 months left.
    Techradar review of KeepSolid

I'm looking at their Lifetime sub for US$36 from stacksocial with code SMS10, but I might wait for another off like this one.

    • I'm also looking at this bundle for US$27 with the same SMS10 code, unless there is a catch.

Another bundle for the same price which appears to have a US number as well, which would be handy for signing up to American streaming.

  • I used them for quite a while and the speeds are okay. Many servers, Wireguard, OpenVPN etc. The privacy policy is not that great, since they promote no logs, but at the same time they log a lot of data. Also their support team is located in Ukraine… so don't expect fast response. Overall you can't beat free unlimited vpn.

  • cool, I'm using the Hong Kong server, lots of free content on viu and viuTV.

  • looks like these 6 months trials appear quite frequently.
