10kg Whey Protein Powder + 2 Gifts Shipped

    Whey to go…

  • Great bargain. Thanks OP

  • Good find OP!

However, no offense… how safe or good is myprotien?

    • +1

I got 10kg WPI for $120 earlier last year

    • I bought their cola flavored preworkout a while back (OZB deal) and haven't had issues.

      • Have those tumours gone down Shard?

        • +10

Last checkup they measured 3.6 Roentgen. Not great, not terrible.

Look I take no responsibility if you chug 10kg protein powder and grow an extra nut or something.

This is absolutely not medical advice. I am not your financial advisor.

    • The company itself is reliable. I've ordered lots from them.

    • i've used them for a long time. At least 5-10 years and I rate them. Except prices have gone up alot since they moved their warehouse to Australia.

  • Can anyone comment on taste

Right now using on double Rich chocolate for 2 years and really happy with it

    • Chocolate Smooth is probably the most widely recommended chocolate flavour of theirs. I have tried many of their flavours and am pretty happy with them. One friend of mine commented that some of them are rather sweet but I've been a fan of most of the flavours so far. These days I usually just stick with the basic ones. Chocolate smooth, vanilla, mocha. I'm also quite a fan of chocolate mint but thats rather controversial.

      • +1

I probs would have bought 3-4 bags if choc mint was up.

Taking a gamble on milk tea, hoping it's not rubbish or RIP taste buds for the next 400 gym days I guess.

        • Don't.
The milk tea tastes like milk tea!!
          It's disgusting

          • @Nuclearvodka: But… I like milk tea?

            • +1

              @Shard: I was joking.
I only tried the "bubble tea" which tasted like over infused black tea.

              • @Nuclearvodka: I like bubble tea too so if it's somewhere between milk tea and bubble tea should be right.

I blend with milk/ice anyway so not difficult to add some flavor to make it better if it's ass.

        • +1

The milk tea flavour is great.

  • +3

I've been ordering from MyProtein for about 7 years and is probably my favourite protein product (not sponsored) and this is probably the best deal I've seen in a long long time since they have been progressively increasing the prices over the years.

I would highly recommend people jump on this deal. I would be ordering if I didn't just order 10kg less than a month ago.

  • I love matcha flavour. However, I barely finish 2.5kg to even try 10kg….

  • I tried my cart show as 329 after discount
    For 5kgs *2

    • Which flavour?

      • Oh I see only milktea and unflavored

  • +4

Use Cashrewards + the promo code on cashrewards "MYPCASHSAVE" to get 45% with 5.6% cashback

    It's $123.20 with 5.6% cashback

So far this only applies to Milk Tea / Unflavoured 5Kg

  • vanilla 5kg never in stock..

    • Natural Vanilla WPI 5kg is in stock if interested

  • Thanks for this, I have been looking at buying their Isolate. I just went 5kg of WPI free express delivery, 2 free gifts and used MYPCASHSAV from Cashrewards 45% off + hopefully 5% cashback.

  • I wish they still did powdered oats. I was getting 5kg for around $16 on sale….. might get 2.5kg of 'instant oats' now for similar

  • This or Amino z?

    • +1

Personally AminoZ. I prefer the taste, I like that they're transparent (testing results available if you ask), great customer service and supporting local.

  • If you're a zip user, you can also get 8% cashback when ordering through the app. Works with MYPCASHSAV or MYPSMSM - so $113.34 total.

    • Through the myprotein app? Is there any trick to getting this to work? I select to pay using zip and the price doesn't change.

      • +1

Sorry via the zip app, if you go to 'shop' there is a rewards tab and myprotein is listed as a 8% cashback. You then need to use the zip app to order/pay etc.

The code MYPSMSM still works for this deal

  • +2

I've been using myprotein for a long time and quite frankly, they have gone a fair bit downhill since doing a local outlet (used to ship from UK). Loads of flavours often out of stock and if they are in stock, often just in 1kg portions (for way more money). Some batches have been quite bad tasting (I've witnessed a hokkaido milk that tasted more like chalk).

They still do good deals, though.

  • What do you get from drinking this (protein) ??

    • +6

      Fart

  • Is this a whey protein concentrate?
Any1 tried this and can compare to r1 or anything else?

  • +1

Now careful with this company. They were pretty good when they shipped from EU directly. Now they have australian warehouse with really old stock sitting with them due to covid lockdowns. My last order had Peanut butter powder with 1 month remaining in expiry and 5KG whey bag with 7 months remaining on expiry. I already had 3 KG whey at home and another 3KG isolate in the same order. There was no way I could finish that 5KG bag in 7 months.

It was a circus with 20+ messages over few weeks to send it all back and get a refund.
I would be overly cautious ordering 10KG, ping them for the expiry before buying. Thier protein is good quality though. I am sticking with aminoz from now on.

BTW thier Tshirt was funny, the left arm was few inches different in size over the right. Probably some factory seconds stuff being offloaded here.

  • Thanks OP. Was waiting for a good price!

    WPI vs WP

    Fats
0.1 grams per 25 grams VS 1.9 grams per 25 grams

will wait for deal on WPI

    • I think breathing air for a day cancels out a 1.8g fat difference per serving.

If the protein amount is within a few grams, why pay heaps more?

      • fair point, just wanted to point out for people looking for lean muscles.

      • Isolate is also better for people who have lactose intolerance.

        • +1

Fair counter-point. Thankfully not something I have to worry about.

  • Doesn't work.

The discount code you entered is invalid or not applicable to the contents of your basket.

10kg of impact whey for $134.40 is whey too good of a deal. Probably fixed the coupon code now to exclude impact whey.

    https://i.imgur.com/v9UTGTz.jpg

Works for impact whey isolate though. But 10kg of impact whey isolate is about $220.00 delivered. Good deal but not great.

  • It gave me stomach cramps, wasted 5Kg.

  • Doesn't work. "The discount code you entered is invalid or not applicable to the contents of your basket."
And I only added the 2X 5kg unflavoured whey.

  • Anyone cashrewards track?

    • +1

yup about an hour later i got an email

      • Ah nothing here ill raise a ticket I'm few days if nothing tracks

        • Assuming your order doesn't get cancelled..

    • Yeah I still haven't got anything. Looks like will have to manually follow up in a week.

  • +4

I just got an email saying my order is cancelled. But my order was also supposedly shipped out earlier today..

  • +3

Just got an email saying my order's been cancelled. Anyone else?

    • +1

I used MYPCASHSAVE and made the order at 8pm last night.

Just received a tracking number. No cancellation email (yet).

  • +1

Got the cancelled email last night. Not happy Jan.

  • THEY CANCELLED MY ORDER :(

    • Apparently it's with auspost already… it says "Received and ready for processing" Is there anyway for my protein to cancel this? otherwise it will arrive and I will get it for free

      • Apparently they can cancel shipping and have items redirected back. MyProtein did this last year when we bought cheap protein but some orders got through.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/659178

My AusPost tracking updated ~12pm from received and processing to processed at facility. If there's no further updates means the parcel was recalled (app won't show this and AP tell you to contact sender if you ask them).

        • Well it's changed to on its way: in transit to next facility. Not only that, I've received emails from my protein saying my order is shipped and on its way a day AFTER receiving the cancellation email LOL

          • @VSVWB: Yah I got the order shipped email from MyProtein too.

My AusPost status updated to "on its way" to my local depo yesterday afternoon. Two hours later it was "transferred" back at the major hub. No updates since then so not sure if it's on its way or recalled.

            • @Shard: Oh damn.. If transferred back you might be out of luck

              • @Circly: Looks like it made it through. On board for delivery this morning.

…unless there's some guy from MyProtein running after the truck. It's not here till it's here!

                • @Shard: Protein and vitamin gift delivered!

No tshirt though, still counting it as a win.

For anyone tracking AusPost, if you don't see any movement by Friday they got it back. Good luck everyone.

      • Thats just automatic means they recieved electronic submission of label

        • Mine has updated to "It's on its way" "Item processed at facility".

I'm holding some hope mine made it out before they could recall it.

          • @Circly: They can still charge charge your credit card if it gets delivered
Bose did this last year with me, had a preauthorisation which dissapeared, then 1 week later charged my card

  • Order cancelled.

They had deals like this in the past. Seems like it's no longer the case…

    • They used to be cool

  • Spoke to them yesterday on chat, was told about 7 months till expiry. So technically its short dated

  • Is it just milk tea orders being cancelled?

  • Anyone reorder after receiving the cancellation email to find out you now have 2 orders on the way?

    • I just got my Vitamins and the shirt lmao

  • Got tracking update to say delayed. Nothing cancelled yet tho.

  • +1

So they delivered mine today but it was only the "free gifts" I selected (t-shirt + vitamin D capsules).
    Better than nothing I guess!

    • Did you still pay for the protein? lol

      • +1

Na they refunded the full cost so the free gifts are really free gifts.

  • Received my milk tea protein with a very short expiry of 3 months (May 2022)…

    • oh damn! 1. it should be noted on the page. 2. why are they cancelling orders, if its that short dated then the reduced price should be the normal price. 3. what is the date of manufacture? Can protein go off?

    • +1

      Receive mine today:

      5kg unflavoured - best before 11/2022
      5kg milk tea - best before 11/2022

I've had plain WPC that was 3+ years past its best before date (stopped using a 20kg bag and then started using it again years later) with no bad effects.

      • Protein degrades over time apparently. You have to store it in right temp and humidity to preserve it

        • Got both my bags today. Expiry 5/22

          • @Circly: 10kg over 60 days = 166 g a day. Go son go!

Also stock up on toilet paper.

  • Just received 50% off protein Pro50.

My order not cancelled just delayed. Wondering if they will refund difference or cancel and reorder

    • Doesnt work on this. Already tried

      • I ordered some other protein

  • Just received my 10kg, a week after ordering with express delivery. Short dated to expire 5/2022 and my free shirt wasn't included. Should I be able to get a refund for such short dated protein?

    • I have already messaged them regarding this, basically saying I'm happy to keep it but short dated stock should be clearly displayed on the website.

I didn't expect/want to receive a refund. Moreso, wanted to see what their response to be. But I'm sure you could get one if you tried. It's just a pain to go return it.

I'll update once I get some clarity on my situation… They said they will get back to me.

For protein I've used casein that was a few years "out of date" and it seemed fine. So I'm not too fussed…

      • Yeah, I don't want to go to the hassle of posting 10kg back lol
I think I could maybe if I pushed it go through 5kg in just over 3 months. So either some kind of refund or ship me some more for free. Further shipment preferred

        • +1

I didn't ask for anything but just raised the issue with them. Was hoping they just shipped more, however they refunded the whole order with no prompting after providing pictures of the expiry.

They also tried to say it's fine to consume after the best before date, I know it's not going to do anything bad to me. However why bother adding a best before date if you are going to tell customers to take it anyway?

          • @knobbs: Yes I also got a full refund this morning!

At the discounted price I may have bought the discounted stock anyway… But to be transparent they should really provide a disclaimer, especially for the larger bags if the expiry is so soon.
