[eBay Plus] $5 off Eligible Items (Min Spend $5.01) @ eBay

2960
PLUS5SW

Was looking to buy something off eBay and noticed that they are offering now $5 off for $5.01 spend on most of the eBay plus eligible items.

Can't find the complete T&Cs as I had already used the coupon and stopped showing me details afterwards.

I bought a Privacy Roller Stamp which was $8.89 in $3.99.

Some of the items bought by members as per comments;
Provacy Roller Steamp - Price is increased by $1 by this seller, seems few Ozbargainers has ordered it today after post.
Energizer 2032 - 4 PACK 3V Lithium
Watch Case Back Opener
3M Command Picture Hanging Strips
Puncture Kit
Folding Step Stool
Swiss made knife

Each plus account is provided with a unique code. My code is different.

  • Where did you find the code?

  • better remove your personal code

    • +1

they only work for the account its assigned to :)

      • ah. true

      • Removed, I had already used it 😊

  • +1

    How come I didn't get a code?

    • Go to top right corner on desktop on My eBay and select My eBay Summary , all your valid codes would be listed there.

  • +1

    Good find

  • +1

    Got it thanks :)

    • +2

      A thanks from a famous Oz Bargainer mean's a lot πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

  • Anything worth getting that's <$10?

    • Privacy Roller Stamps, I broke mine so was looking for a new one. Select Ships from Australia for faster shipping.

      • +2

NO idea such a thing existed until you mentioned it β€” thanks!

Which one have you used / recommend please?

        • +1

@Member 0203 Previously I had one like this, which went good till i dropped it on kitchen floor from cabinet and it fell apart. (this link is for example only, his prices seems high)

The seller I bought from is augenstr, but he currently don't have the same and ships from China, so I bought another one from a local seller for fast delivery.

The one I usually buy from China has good prices and he keeps running discounts on Stamp Oils for these privacy rollers. Stamp Oils are cheap and I stack them usually in my other orders, when I need to purchase above a certain amount and falling short.

It comes ready to use and with 1 or 2 stamp oils, which is really thick and you need to give it time to seep in, usually 4-6 hours. It lasts for 3-4 months before requiring refilling.

Real handy item for all those packages I keep getting.

          • @ChipsChicky: Awesome, thanks for the comprehensive reply!

When we use Woolies Click & Collect and opt for their plastic bags, the stickers (which contain our full name) cannot be removed without damage to the bags, so we've opted to use Sharpies to blot it out. Unsure if this will be a better choice since it's only one line we need to obfuscate.

            Cheers

            • @Member 0230: I was using permanent markers before but this is way quicker and easy than markers. Cheers.

I had the same code as the OP.

  • +1

Oh nice, I have this in my account too. What to buy, what to buy..

  • +1

    Great, got it too, thanks!

    • +2

Ah, will have to buy a watch first πŸ˜†

  • +1

Targeted offer, lucky I got it on one of my accounts but not on the other :)

The account I got it on also has the usual 'MYPLUS..' spend $5 with $50 min spend on plus items (not to be confused with op's offer).

    • Its for eBay plus members only, I think you got offer on the account which has eBay plus.

  • Is this why Plus listings for an item always seem to be about $5 than the non-Plus listings?

    • +1

I was looking to buy Privacy Roller Stamp at night and it was $8.99, in the morning it was same price but with the code it came down to $3.99, I don't think that eBay has such a strong system to jack the prices of all eBay items at once, though some sellers do this.

  • +3

Thanks OP. Got some 3M picture hanging strips for 89c

    • That's a good find πŸ‘

  • Is there a list of eligible items? Or all Plus items?

    • I believe that its on all eBay plus items which display code PLUS5*******, in item description.

    • This no ebay plus item still can apply the code.

  • +1

No longer a member anymore ohwell.

    • +1

May not have got it anyway. I'm a Plus member and didn't get it.

  • +2

Thanks OP! T&Cs are here: https://pages.ebay.com.au/Buyer_coupons/PLUS5SW/. Expires 18/03/22

    • Thanks, updated in deal, where does it says 18/03/22 ?

      • +1

It says it in the vouchers section for me, at the top of the summary page (on desktop).

  • +1

    Got it thanks :)

  • +1

Just got me a $0.99 puncture kit! Boom! ;)

  • +1

    Folding Step Stool= $6.33 :)

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/353649743427

    Kmart = $5

    https://www.kmart.com.au/product/folding-step-stool/797827

Not sure if the Ebay one will be as good quality as the Kmart one though!

    • +1

Both seems very similar to me. eBay one is colored and if you have kids at home, chances are that it would be taken as a toy. In that instance, a boring color of Kmart is better :)

      • +1

haha! My local Kmarts are actually out of stock :( Def worth paying extra $1.33 for the folding stool delivered :)

  • Is there a link with the list of products the code applies to?

  • +1

I ended up getting a Ninja Turtle for $9. I hope it's Raphael

    • are you a collector ?

      • +2

nope - more nostalgia. I'll try make my son a collector though… once I've finished playing with it

I am looking to get a Carrom Board this weekend for indoor fun. Seems like a fun game.

  • +1

Can't believe I actually got targeted by one of these promos for once.

  • +1

im guessing if you use the code, you won't be able to claim cash back on shopback or cashrewards?

    • not worth the risk for the ~5-10c you are aiming to get.

      • What risk? You can still apply codes after activating/checking out through CR or SB.

        • fair point, wasn't clear in my comment - you'll just get the cashback denied.
would only be a risk if you were buying a higher value item - say 1% of $100 - you would be risking the $1 cashback.
i guess most people are looking to buy as close to $5.01 as possible.

    • +1

that is a yes…no cashback with these types of codes

  • +1

need a new cr2032 battery and got 5 panasonic for $0.15 lol. I didn't need 5, but well, still good value….only 3 years left on the shelf life, but that is fine. For that price, can't argue

    • Good use for the code.

Hope it's better than the set I got though β€” the print on most of the tool tips is very faint, making it tough to figure out if you selected the right one, especially when the tips are so small.

    • I have this very same set, quality ain't good. Better off buying a branded one off Amazon.

  • I'm just confused because I did get a code, but I don't have eBay plus

    • Can you apply it ?

      • Yep I used it.

      • +2

        Oh dodgy eBay.
Basically in the app, there is no way to check if the membership is active. It prompts me for a free trial.
But when I go incognito on the web browser, here you go, active subscription that I forgot to cancel from the November free trial (weird looks like I got 2 months for free)
        Really dodgy ebay…

  • +1

Ooh, I got one. Not sure what the targeting criteria are, but I've just used it. Much thanks.

Scroll to the bottom of this and Chat with them. Everyone got this offer. The one you mentioned is a different one.

      • +2

I definitely didn't get the one in this deal. I did as you suggested by contacting eBay, and after lots of waiting in chat was eventually told it could take up to 24 hours to receive the voucher. Was told to contact them again if still nothing after 24 hours.

        • I just got email that you got $5 coupon. Check your email.

    • +1

That's the regular monthly voucher that all eBay Plus members get.

  • Has anyone had any selling promotions lately?

    • Nopes, just FREE INSERTION from long time. 🀣

  • +1

Thanks OP. I didn't get the email but I had the code. I got 1 of the privacy roller things, I never heard of them before.

    • That's a must have for me.. Once it starts drying (4-5 months usually), use the stamp oil and let it seep in for 4-6 hours. I usually repeat the procedure 2,3 times to make sure that the roller is fully submerged in stamp oil (ink). You can order stamp oils separately as well.

It sounds great. We have a paper shredder and every now and then DH sits in the shed making a racket, I'd much rather recycle it all. I guess there's a price to pay for not watching ads on T.V ;-)

    • Has now lumped on a $15 shipping fee. Opportunist b@$t@rd$.

    • +1

      These are so good.

lolx, just got email from eBay that you got $5 coupon 🀣

I never have any coupons display on the https://www.ebay.com.au/myb/Summary page and i'm a Plus member. Tried on multiple browsers on the desktop, and phone and nothing.

    • That's very strange .. have a chat with them or book a call back, i got the email of coupon in thee evening.

  • Damn I didn't get the offer :-(

  • +1
