      what

      • +14

took a team of linguistic experts to decipher, but i think he's saying that he can't access his mobile banking app while inside costco

        • +2

          Wasn't complicated to understand though

          • +1

@ShouldIBuyIt: but it was like a super specific example to give, rather than just saying "i can't access e-banking" or whatever. like can he can't transfer from his savings to his everyday account - can he transfer from his savings to his credit account? just a weirdly specific way to relate to the topic at hand that threw me.

Thanks for your valuable contribution and experience shared inside Costo, Moorabin.
      Very insightful.

I was under the impression Costco built like internet blocking walls so one cannot compared prices to other stores?

      • You need to lay off the pipe

thats a very good deal but i dont need that much data

  • If only wasn't a Vodafone operated network. I sadly have a bad Vodafone network at my area.

  • How long do I have to activate thos

Honestly, would only recommend Kogan if you're happy to have poor coverage basically everywhere (except maybe the CBD). I went from Telstra, to Amaysim (Optus 4G) and then to this in the past 24 months. Surprisingly, Amaysim had the best consistent 4G coverage with amazing speeds. Telstra was okay (outperformed Amaysim only if you left the capital cities, but honestly not by a lot). My Kogan experience has been horrible from a reception perspective. I took the punt with Kogan, figuring I could save some money on a yearly SIM but damn do I regret it. Happy to pay more for Amaysim and just get better coverage. After all, there is no value in Kogan if you don't have reception lmaooo. As always YMMV.

It varies so much. I've been on Kogan for years and I've moved house several times across the suburbs, and never had serious coverage issues, except when travelling in remote areas where there was no coverage on any network.

The best way to go is to grab the 45GB in a month for $4.90 and if you don't like it, you are free to leave.

      • Free to leave after a 12 month commitment

Minimum Cost over 12-month commitment term is $279.90

        • It appears Kogan have changed their plans, they do seem to be 12 months "contracts" that you can pay monthly instead of paying for the year upfront like this deal. No sure how iron clad the 12 months contract is, as I've only used the 365 day plans. If anyone has signed up to one, they might care to share their experience?

In terms of testing, it might not offer the same value as the 45GB for $4.90 voucher we could previously get for a month (without the 12 motnh commitment) that zzymurgy recommended, but you could use the 20GB for $2.90 Starter Pack. This one doesn't have the ongoing commitment.

Same Voda works great for me in the areas I frequent

    • That's your case. For my case, v and o are the same. T? Sometimes even poorer than them. Again my case.

  • +1

I would like a 365 day plan including 3-5gb data per month for a total cost of approx $60 :D. Not picky on which network, as my experience with Telstra is not (amazing or any) better than Optus or voda.

      You could try this
With the 4% off Woolies gc and 10% off a monthly shopping, you may even be able to recover your cost in savings

    • Have the same experience, but Telstra this year is better than last year. This is Telstra 5G I tested on August last year. I told them I want to port my number to other service provider because I couldn't upload the files to the cloud. But they said I have to pay the ETC if cancel the plan.

any good plan for school kid please ?

    • I use the amaysim $12/2gb/month plan. Bought on special for $9.95 for 6 months. At the end of 6 months you can port to something else before porting back using similar plan.

    • Really depends on what you're looking for in terms of data and your budget.

  • Does this stack on top current plan? lets say I have 3 months left from previous deals.

    • +1

Pretty sure "if you can use this as a recharge?" then it will start from activation date and you will lose all previous credit/days/data.

  • Pity its kogan,
The Vodafone network had a few good years then went back to being really bad outside of cities.
Still speeds for me are better than telstra

    Happy Kogan customer here
The whole family are on plans and have been for probably 5 years now.
I have work phone so with Telstra, and find in Sydney and surrounds, they are both comparable for coverage

not bad, boxing day deal was $300 for 2x (365 Days FLEX | 500GB) =$150

    • yeah I picked up that Boxing Day deal for the kids and they haven't had any issues at all they said it's been better than Boost

  • Is the data on this monthly?e.g once you hit 25gb it turns data off or will it keep using your yearly allowance? Is it possible to stop it from adding extra data once you reach the limit?

  • So if I get $160 to pay with LatitudePay then use APPLOVE as downloading the Kogan App on mobile under new email address that gives u $5 OFF which will bring down to $155, will that work it not?

    • +1

I decided to sign up but use the $120 plan that comes with 130GB FLEX. I downloaded Kogan App and used "APPLOVE" discount code gets me to $115. Then further discount of $20 with LatitudePay comes down totaling to $95 for 1 year. $9.50 p/w with LatitudePay. It's a good bargain.

Can confirm that it works, and will work with another plans as well.
$150 Medium plan subtract $5 for downloading app = $145 then further $20 off if pay with LatitudePay will bring down to $125 for 1 year on the 200GB Medium plan.

$160 Large plan subtract $5 = $155 then further of $20 off if pay with Latitude Pay will bring down to $135 for 1 year on the 300GB Large plan for those who are wondering :)

You're saving total of $84 ($20 LatitudePay, Kogan App Download $5, and $59 for the Kogan First Membership)

  • Just signed up for the extra large plan and the next recharge in 365 days is $529.90! Don't know how they worked that out. Also said 550GB included data during the activation process for some reason.
