          Lol. Ok. Goodnight

          • @gimli: All good,. well there are some Iphone fanatics here on Ozbargain (might not be many compared to Samsung fan boys)

            RRP? $998.64 12 Mini 64gb
            - $400.32 Minus Optus Discount
            = $598.32 Final Price

And one can pay off $965.28 over 12, 24 or 36 months, just need an Optus postpaid plan, I'm guessing current plans also

Yes better put final price in title OP, and your welcome to copy and paste above and thanks for post

Think it’s about $600 after discount for base model.

      • Which model is that? thought the mini would be the cheapest?

        • +1

          I mean 64gb in 12 mini sry, rrp is 950-1000 I think.

          • @jtrev: Your right,.. so fixed my above final price $598.32,.. not bad considering Iphone usual high prices

            • +1

@Italkdigital: Yeah I bought one of 128gb ones, thought the telcos wouldn’t offer discounts like this again on iPhones. Must be trying to shift leftover stock I guess.

              • @jtrev: Well biggest discount I've ever seen, well just checked on eBay there advertised new over $1100 for the 64gb version, I know prices are usually inflated but under $600 price on Optus not bad

Though have a feeling might be only for new plans signed up well I'm trying to chat with Optus chat, if this could apply to Optus existing customers on any postpaid plan, I'm on a $50 plan maybe they'll allow me but have a mate on a $25 old postpaid plan, there lowest new plan is $45 per month with 20gb data

Edit: spoke to Optus online chat. one needs to be part of the new current market plans for existing customers, older plans they won't let you keep your current plan you'll have to move to there new postpaid plans starting from $45 unlimited calls etc 20gb data

Optus will allow 25% off on a new second plan brings their lowest $45 plan with calls etc and 20gb data (unlimited at 1.5Mbps) to $33.75 per month,. maybe somebody with a partner or kids or second plan maybe can apply data sharing between all ones Optus plans

Dare I'm asking Optus chat to apply this Iphone deal against a new second data plan, their lowest data plan is $15 with 5gb data, 25% off equals $11.25 per month, over 12 months $135

        You're a fast reader…

  • Have one of these in my cupboard waisting away as I just hated the size don’t know how people use such a small phone!

    • +6

They use them with one hand!

Keen to move it on? Looking for one for my parents as they're still on IPhone ,5. I missed out on the Telstra deal… unfortunately.

      • This better then the Telstra deal? actually love to know what the Telstra deal was

    • It doesn't touch the sides, so to speak?

    • Frankly my phone is a support for my Apple watch, hotspot for my iPad and camera. The small size wouldn’t bother me. Why not sell the phone, if you don’t like it? Either that or use it as a trade in on another phone.

    • +1

People use a small phone as a phone. As a male I can put it comfortably into my pockets without it being uncomfortable. What exactly do you need a large phone for?

  • Any max deal? Need it for parents.

  • -4

Not sure who would pay $600 to torture themselves. Nothing wrong with the size but this is just a crap phone.

    • Why may I ask? Not that I own one well I wouldn't say no to a free one, thought iphones had the fastest processor,.. anyway again Note fanboy here

    • What's wrong with it? The only downside I can think of is the weak battery.

    • I’ve had one for 6 months and not had any issues. Battery lasts me a full working day (10-12hours) with moderate/heavy use. Not a bulky as other phones. No lag, decent camera. Simples

      • Agree, anyway all phones advertised as all day always really isn't exactly, well really depends what your using your phone for all day for, I can easily kill my all day phone in quarter of a day even less, simple solution car charger, wall charger at work, battery pack etc, so I take all day with a grain of salt

        • Exactly!

Isn’t it only the discounted price if you stay connected with Optus for either 12, 24 or 36 months on one of their overpriced plans?

I am on the lookout for a mini but reading the terms it appears you pay the full price if you disconnect before the timeframes listed above.

    Can anyone confirm?

Just in time for Binchickenlian to 'look after you'.

Combine with the below for a killer 12 month iPhone deal?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/681105?page=1

    • I can’t find a way to make this work as the phone is linked to a plan as one item when placed in cart. Or perhaps I am just doing it wrong?? 😂😂

      • Yeah you can just click on the phones tab and scroll over to the mini, managed to make it to checkout with both so seems fine.

    • had a go and seems the only way to combine these deals is by using the chat. They ask for your WA address in order to set up the account

      • actually - think I figured it out. select phone and plan from the WA offers page - seems to be working
