  • Do these accept VMNO sims? I've got one from Aussie Broadband.

    • I'm sure as long as your MVNO sim card is on Optus network it will work.

  • Reception on these are bad in comparison to e5573.

    • e5573 battery failure causes device to fail unfortunately if continuously plugged in for use as a router - these USB modems don't have the same problem

      • yes I have tried running the e5573 without the battery, but didn't work. My 4g reception isn't great. With the e5573 it is usable. With the e3372 it's not. But I only use it as a backup. I've probably run it for a few month in total over several years.

  • i upgraded from this to the huawei b818 modem for huge reception and speed gains.
cat 4 -> cat 19 and better mimo signals.

this usb modem did serve its purpose well, provided you get enough reception.

    • B818 is $200+ so 10 times the price, also not quite as small hence better reception ……

I find these USB devices handy when on holidays is where I'm staying doesn't have internet as you can share and just leave turned on ….. also when NBN is dead they are handy to have …..problem is time till the SIM expires on bundled deals ….. this one doesn't have a date to use by ……?

      • Bought the b818 used.

Not hating on the USB modem, I used it for many months works well on my Asus router

I remember buying these around 2015 just to get three months of Netflix for free. 😂😂😂

  • I thought huawei was banned

  • Do these work with the GL.inet MT300 ? The cheap yellow wifi extension ?

    • From Officeworks Q&As
This device is designed to connect in to a PC only and not in to a router.

      • i've used it on an asus router,
        check compatibility though,
also i believe there are different revisions of this usb.

Can this work straight from power only USB port? ie wall socket with USB?

  • Any ideas how to unlock the telstra device? optus now back to 29.00 (and doesn't have wifi sharing compared to the telstra one)
