I bought this in the last deal too. I won't get parole for 3 more weeks.
Would love to see some tiny cannabis in this.
Is this the one with or without the pump?
Looks like it has a pump. It's mentioned a few times on the product page
Reviews repeatedly mention the pump breaking… so I guess it sort of comes with a pump, at least to start with….
Hi, this hydroponic system comes with a water pump, thanks
The reviews aren't that great.
Hs anyone ever bought a hydroponic system who doesn’t wanna grow the devil’s lettuce?
You wont grow much devils lettuce in this, you would be better off just buying $60 worth of lettuce straight off the farmer.
Considering the maximum height accommodated by this setup is 37cm…. Then pretty much everyone who buys this kit isn't interested in the wacky tabacy.
Unless bonsai weed is your thing? 1 nug per plant?
I grow cuttings in it and has been great. No problems with it at all.
I grow strawberries, pak choi, buttercrunch lettuce and other leafy greens in my hydro setup…all perfectly legal.
Just bought one. I find Amazon are great for refunds/replacements if things go wrong, so happy to try it out.
Would this grow me some hoochie427 ? If you get my drift dudes!
How much would this cost per month to run?
Not enough to worry about.
When my power bill is about $500 every 2 months every bit counts 😂😭
I’ve got the big 20 pod one that pulls 40w that they recommend being on for 16hrs per day, so whatever your power rate is for that.
Bought one in a previous deal. Started leaking within a few weeks. Corroded the electronics internally, which I didn't realise until the pump failed and the lights started flickering.
Enjoyed the idea though, so bought a better quality alternative when I returned it. Love it for herbs etc.
Mind sharing which one you got? :)
It was significantly more expensive, but I bought this unit from Costco. Quality is night and day, and there's a fair bit more room. Costco price was good vs their own site too.
Interesting its about double the size.
How much did the Costco one cost?
@Crownanchor: Sorry, that's the price I paid at costco - but if you go to the urban plant growers' own website, it's about $260 or so.
They also have a few smaller units (similar in size to this amazon listing), but not available via costco. I'd probably still consider them first though.
@wintermadness: Cool thanks, will look into this unit!
Copying frogduck
@wintermadness: The Costco membership is a big turn off.
But could be interesting with Business Membership.
Manufacturer is just down the road from me.
Used to use Aerogarden, but this Urban Plant Growers is much lower cost and higher build quality.
This one https://www.urbanplantgrowers.com/products/terragarden-combo maybe more similar to the Amazon one.
Cool thanks, will look into this unit!
Back to $99.99 pretty much full price.
Can't report as expired.Where can you buy the sponge seed pods for this in bulk they actually work?
I’ve tested 2 vendors from AliExpress both times seeds wouldn’t germinate well in them because it didn’t fit right.
hydroponics shops sell some gear. Also ebay is a good source.
which type of seed pods did you try?
Rockwool is one medium that can work well.
Also what types of seeds were you using? Which brand of seeds, and family of seeds were you using?
You were ok with the nutrients?
Yeh might find a shop if this next batch fails

https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOeKe they were the last ones that were horrible.I’ve used a variety of seeds and the nutrients were the same as when they seeded with the original pods- picked up from eBay
Couldn't tell what the Ali link was all about.
There are probably a few things that you are not doing right.
The nutrients vary depending on what stage the plants are at. Have a look at General Hydroponics three part system https://generalhydroponics.com/products/flora-series/, and you can learn a lot from.
As for seeds, ebay sellers are very good. But there are also some bad sellers.
@Crownanchor: Thanks for the tips!
I bought this in the last deal. It works really well.
