    Buy know think ladder

I love how thorough they were with wording the exclusions list like they paid a team to sit there and think of every possible loophole for the term ‘ladder’ someone could use to abuse the condition.

    • +7

      Doesn't exclude stocking ladders.

Will try my Laddas… shame they don't take eneloops

    • +3

I don’t see why they bother with all the exclusions. It’s just a $50 off ladder deal.
It’s not like they are going to resell second hand ladders and make some money from them,
Instead of worrying about exclusions which really only impacts the frontline team who have to argue with the customer they would be better off having no exclusions and let the team have some fun and see what lengths their customers will go to to get the $50 discount.

      • Best thing is, the Bunnings dumpster will be full of ladders to take!

Here's a link of the Bailey ladders on the Bunnings website in the p rice range $190-$550, sorted from lowest price to highest:

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/search/products?q=ladder&sort=Pr…

    • U da real mvp

    • the "from $190" is a bit of a con then, given that the cheapest there is $210.
      (thanks though!)

  • +2

When they detail NOT ELIGIBLE so precisely, they're sort of asking someone to have a go, aren't they?

    • +1

i think bunnings and a few others have been hit up on some deals by ozbargain that it is a demographic they have identified …. i have been at bunnings and when i ask for some things they say “was that on ozbargain” ….the recent oppo phone deal when i rang jb hifi and asked about oppo they said “is this about the deal on ozbargain”.

ozbargain can empty a warehouse if it’s a deal …..

$27 ladder, is you need one too trade-in
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/syneco-100kg-2-step-steel-househ…

Although it doesn't state you have to own it. Maybe you can grab a ladder instore & then asking to trade it in?

    • +3

LoL love your style. Excludes 'household step stools' by the way. But hey, who cares about price if you're not "buying" it and are just "trading" it in. Use an instore $200 ladder for the $50 off another $200 ladder that you will buy

  • I have my old man's aluminium ladder that has been around for decades. If there is no sign of damage, is it still safe?
Do ladders build up fractures with knocks etc?

  • Are Bailey ladders one of those brands with premium pricing? Cause the Rhino range on Bunnings looks to offer better value?

    • Rhino's are part of a group of companies that Gorilla is also part of

      • +3

And Gorillas are now part of the Hominidae family (formerly Pongidae) due to recent fossil evidence and hence the reclassification.
I didn’t know that and had to look it up myself.

        • +1

Ah yes ofcourse. I wonder if theres a giraffe brand thats under that group of compaines/family too. would be a more suitable name for 'ladders' lol

  • Out of interest, what are they going to do with all the ladders that are traded-in?

    • +1

They get donated to retirement homes for the exercise programmes. It's a new initiative sponsored by the Joint Replacements Council of Australia.

      • Did you actually mean Hip Replacements Council of Australia by any chance?

        • +3
