Soooo, works for 6.25hrs on the supplied 2.-0Ah battery?

    • +6

      up to*

    • Yup, about 6 hours on the low speed.

And low is enough for this thing in regards to creating a nice breeze.

      • I like the term "Guaranteed not to exceed"

  • +3

    Looks cute

  • Comes up as $99 for me.

    • +1

I had two close stores show up as $99 and $49. Worth trying different pickup locations.

  • +3

Can't find any available in SA

  • $99 for me too.

  • It’s 99$ for me

  • +1

    $49 for me in Vic

  • $49 in Syd

  • $49 at NSW (Bonnyrigg) for me

  • +1

Shows as $99 when searched for but $49 when clicked on. QLD.

    • I'm in Qld and it showed as $49 for me when searched and also clicked on, so something might have been updating.
FYI, if you have a trade account, it comes up as $46.55 … bonus!

      • Order cancelled :(

  • $99 for me Syd

  • Thanks OP, purchased in Vic at posted price.

  • +19

This deal blows all the others away.

    • +1

      For up to 12.5 hours!

First time I've done c&c at bunnings. Let's see how it goes.

    • Very easy process, unless there's a stock / site issue, of which I've never come across nor heard of thus far.

      • +3

I’ve had that issue. Got a call to say they had no stock and they’d try find alternatives or refund me.

      • +2

Mixed, few pickup orders no problem, fast and efficient, multiple items.

However recently I ordered one thing for pickup got confirmation email, said to wait till contacted when ready, and after 3 days hadn't heard from them. Ended up going to the store and picked the item up myself from shelves, cancelled the online order.

      • Got it nice and easy, drive and collect.

  • +3

Well the 1.5AH battery alone is $39 at Bunnings, so i guess you could argue you're getting the fan for $10 extra.

    • +1

      And the charger ;)

    • This is a 2ah battery

      • Yep, I rang Bunnings Balcatta WA to put one on hold for me (they have 2), but when I noticed that the battery is only 2ah, I have rung them back to tell them not to keep it for me.
I was more interested with the battery & the charger, but not for 2ah.

        • i doubt you will get a 4-5ah for $49 but if you can that would be a good deal

          • @asa79: I agree, but the mention of 4ah battery got me jumped quickly before reading the whole text.

    • Also an extra 0.5Ah.

  • +4

$49 in Shellharbour, I honestly only wanted another battery as my spare one died.

  • Still showing $99 for me in Vic …

    • +1

try changing stores, I had one suburb which was out of stock @ $99, changed to another with stock @ posted price.

      • Mine local store just changed to the discounted price $49 bought thanks !

  • $99 in WA…

    • Can't get the $49 price

    • Price just updated to $49

Managed to buy one click and collect.

      • +1

Which store? Can’t see any stock in WA stores

        • I'd be keen to know also…appears to be no stock in WA metro?

        • Bunnings Bunbury is $49

        • Balcatta got 2, Midland might have one or two also, you have to ring the store to find out.

    • +5

      sorry, Australia only..

  • Dammit bought a few of these a couple of weeks ago for same price but without the battery and charger (they're good for camping). Out of their box so no change of a change of mind …

    • Is the fan noisy?

      • They're a small fan so when running fast yes they have a bit of noise from the air.

      • +1

I have one and setting 1 is pretty quiet. Setting 2 is noisier but when you are hot you don’t mind…

    • +2

As long as there's no marks/damage & can be repacked for resale, I can't see why you couldn't return & just state there not as good as you thought they'd be. Bunnings are great at returns.

      • +1

I don’t think they will accept it without box.

    • +3

Just buy the new ones, and return them with the old receipt ;)

      • Different box

  • +19

I'm a fan of Ryobi One products (own quite a few of them), but it's really sucky how they quote a run time for a larger battery that is NOT included in the pack.

May as well quote the runtime on a 9Ah battery pack and say "it'll last 28 hours on a single charge!"

    Poor form.

    • I hear you. Maybe their trying to condition buyers to purchase larger, more expensive batteries, while making the run time look good.

    • Agreed, however the 4.0Ah battery is the most common capacity size.

But quoting a runtime with a battery that isn't in the pack is quite misleading.

      • Could not agree more, that's what got me to jump in quickly and ring Bunnings Balcatta to put one on hold for me, but when I later noticed it's a 2ah battery, I cancelled the hold. What am I going to do with a 2ah battery?

    • It's the same as selling the HP tool kits with the base lithium 2ah battery

    • +1

"Will run for about a millenium! *"

      * if connected to Hornsdale Power Reserve

  • +1

Sold that charger for $20 on FB. Lots of Ryobi users out there I spose…

  • +1

THX deanmoriarty ! - snagged one too.

  • None available in SA, but does come up at the $49

  • +1

Thanks OP! Super cheap. I bought one without battery for $59 a few weeks ago and it's still sealed, so I'm going to switch this out :)

  • C&C one at Eastgarden NSW for $49

  • I don’t need it but still brought one.. so tempting may be I can use it later if I need to or return it back later.

    • +9

You bought one or you brought one?

      • +6

        He's associated. Probably brought one.

        • you mean brought one out after work?

  • +1

What do ppl use these for?

    • +1

      To cool themselves.

      • +3

        To blow themselves

    • +1

      A fan

    • +1

      To cool themselves?

    • +8

To fan their Ryobi addiction flames.

    • +1

Blowing air for cooling down, clearing smells, smoke from soldering etc. Then there's the use of the charger & battery for multiple other tools, all while saving $70.

    • +1

I have a similar one. I use it to cool my children's food before serving.

      • +5

omg I read that as "cool my children's foot before serving."

        • you need specsavers!

      • Good thinking, cools quicker that putting in the fridge I guess?

        • +1

It absolutely does. Faster than the freezer too.
Tested against my wife's better judgement too.
          We use the fan everyday.
Likewise, when we cook soup, put a couple of ice cubes in to cool it.

    • Much better then crappy camping fans, but I have the AEG fan which is bigger then these ryobi ones.

  • +4

    Deal for the Ryobi FANs!

    • Ryobi's smallest "fan/s" :)

  • Such a small fan can cover shed?

    • +2

      I say definitely YES!!

Come on man. Clearly it depends on size of your shed. And how hot it gets. And how cool you want it. And lots of other considerations that'll change the answer to question from a "yes" to a "no".

      • +1

        • +1

All good, thank you for the clarification & post non the less :)

    • Shows as $149 for me in Vic.

    • Anything with canon in its name is good

    • +1

      $40 off.

  • +1

    • How many did they have in stock?

  • Looks like a very small fan.. a table fan size .. anygood from a distance

    • +2
