    • Thanks, Mate, for lending me your chopper

  • Hey Can someone please tell me with 711 fuel lock, how far should someone lock the fuel price from ?

e.g. fuel locking with the cheapest price from Sydney for use in Melbourne ? - Is that possible or the fuel lock has to be from the like same city to be usable ? But i guess in that sense people should still be able to use city fuel locked price in regional areas ?

    • +3

      That's up to you.

If the distance to get from where you locked to where you filled is unreasonable, you risk getting your account closed.

      • +2

Do you really think they are tracking that on an individual account basis? I've done several interstate locks and so far so good.

    • +10

I’ve done many interstate locks with “unrealistic” travel times. Never had an account blocked.

  • Anyone else seeing this now?
Compulsory to update the 7-11 app now? On modern unmodified phone.
Also getting "Your device is not supported" on my helicopter with Android 10.

    • Compulsory to update the 7-11 app now? On modern unmodified phone.

      Yeah

Also getting "Your device is not supported" on my helicopter with Android 10.

That's on startup, the app only does safetynet test during the fuel lock request button, but on startup it also attempts to detect root/magisk

      Try the following:
      - Magisk Hide (If you are using older magisk)
      - Rename Magisk package
      - Rename GPS spoofing app

      • HTC One (has been working for a few months).
        LineageOS 17.1, Android 10
        As for your questions:

        • Magisk Hide (If you are using older magisk)
        • Rename Magisk package
        • Rename GPS spoofing app

Have always been set as suggested.
"Restore your device to factory settings" -is the 7-11 app statement.

        • +1

          FYI
          Flying again!
It appears that ALL the Magisk Modules had been mysteriously disabled!
No clue as to how/why. Helicopter is never unlocked or outside the hanger.

Have now updated app and still working OK on Lineage 17.1

(Unfortunately, a road trip of 4000 Km coming up, but NO refueling station of that brand available on flight plan.
Mechanically, unable to add extra long range fuel tanks either!)

          Shame,shame, shame.
Thats around 400 litres at highest prices with the added tax as well.

  • Working fine on iphone using 3Utools.

    • Would be more helpful if you list out the iPhone model, iOS version and 3utools version if available.

Otherwise I'll also just say working fine on my fleet of 11 android choppers without specifying the app version, phone, operating system..

      • +1

        iPhone 5s version 12.5.3

Price seems to be trending up higher again (school holidays and a week out from the excise halt ending)

Anyone else getting an E03 error on iOS?

    • -1

      nope

    • Yep. I'm using iPhone 7, iOS version 15.

    • Nope. I locked in about 2 hours ago on iOS 14.8.

    • +1

Shxt, updated to iOS 16.0 and the chopper isn't working.

    • Update: I updated the iOS to the latest version available to my phone (15.4 I think) and managed to lock again. The problem wasn't with uTools as I downloaded iMyFone AnyTo but still didn't manage to make it work in the older iOS.

    • Yep, after having to update the 7-Eleven app! :( What's the way around it?

      iPhone 7
      iOS 14.7.1
      iFakeLocation

    • also getting E03 error after being forced to update 7/11 app. IOS 14.6, iphone 8 plus, iFakeLocation

  • For those who have got their choppers now powered by Nox with the Android 9, how do you get the 7/11 app to start searching locations?

I've got it all installed and running, but when I change the location using the "Baidu" maps as opposed to Google maps (as that doesn't even let me search location), then go to the 7/11 app, i go to lock but it just sits at the search location screen doing nothing.

    • +1

change the location using the "Baidu" maps

Change the location using fake gps.

    • Follow the instructions. Use FakeGPS, not Nox to set the location. I've sometimes found the 711 app can stall at the Fuel Lock page, so I just close the app, clear it from multitasking and restart it till it works.

  • +1

For those that were having problems with 3 U tools and developer mode not showing, 3U tools have just done an update that has made the developer mode visible. You can now toggle it on and off as needed

  • Anyone brave enough to predict price pattern between now and re-instatement of full excise on Wednesday? Just filled up 3/4 of a tank of E10 at 144.3 from last week (lock expired tomorrow morning). Best price now 147.5

Is E10 going to go down slightly in price in next day or so as we exit out of the weekend and out of the start of the School Holidays, or is it going to creep higher in the lead up to the end of excise?

I have three helicopter accounts, so I guess I can fly one a day to lock in prices and hedge my bets.

Road trip to Sydney next weekend - bad timing.

    • +3

According to Master131's TGP data/line graph
      It's actually trending down,
Note: data is missing for 24th Sept because weekend, you can see a break in data on every Sat/Sun)
The Fraudenberg Fuel Excise Cut reversal/booby trap is probably what's pushing other petrol prices higher

      23rd Sept TGP was 148.2cpl

      E10/91 are normally 2cpl apart.
TGP compared to 7/11 U91 can fluctuate around 7~10cpl apart.
IF TGP continues to be stable at 148.2cpl.. +22.1cpl for fuel excise cut reversal, then TGP should go up to 170.3cpl

We should see a rapid fuel price spike within a few days for 7/11 U91 to be around 160cpl around 29th Sept, 2022 as all the 7/11 fuel stations update their prices reflecting the increased TGP (from fuel excise), closely followed by Liberal Media shills SkyNews blaming the Labor government for not dealing with the cost of living.

I have three helicopter accounts, so I guess I can fly one a day to lock in prices and hedge my bets.

      Those are rookie numbers
      cough trashmail cough

      • +2

U91 is $1.959 at some servos already in Melbourne. 🤕

        • Yeah, 1.959 where I fill up. I usually fill up on E10, and that was 193.9, so 144.3 was a reasonable saving.

        • +2

U91 is $1.959 at some servos already in Melbourne. 🤕

Yeah, it'll go up, then fall back down once the Fuel Excise reversal madness has calmed down

          https://fuelprice.io/station/costco-casula/
          https://fuelprice.io/station/costco-marsden-park/

Costco prices are a pretty good benchmark to watch as well when compared to TGP
7/11 pricing is normally within 5c of costco..

We saw Costco fuel prices drop instantly as soon as the fuel excise cut was in place before the election then 7/11 prices dropped after 1-2 weeks to, we should see it spike exactly 22.1cpl (or whatever the adjusted fuel excise is)

Prices normally rise faster than they fall though (capturing as much profit as possible, but hey, we need other motorists to fund our 7/11 chopper discounts)

      • +1

Thanks! I've been relying on the very mobile friendly refinery.fyi with the click copy paste coordinates for so long that I had forgotten about the original projectzerothree.

    • +2

I posted earlier this week when I noticed some of the BPs raising to 195.9~ for U91

At that time, 7-11 lowest was 145~ for U91 and 165 for U98.
      Now, U98 is 169~

    • +4

If you haven’t filled up already. Lock in a price tonight. Cheapest prices for U91, P95 and P98 will all go up tomorrow by 3c as the cheapest is in WA and their prices are going up tomorrow. link. Note: U91 is cheaper than E10 at the moment.

    iOS 16 - Chopper works!
Originally I couldn't see developer option and in iFakeLocation, it said Unable to mount developer image.

    Fix:
    1) Download 3uTools as per original post and install it.
    2) Connect iPhone to PC
    3) Make sure you have closed/killed the "Settings" App on iPhone
    4) Open 3uTools and click "Other tools" on the left side (last menu item)
    5) Top row near middle section, there is Modify GPS
    6) Search for a new location and double click anywhere. This should fill in long/lat coords and then hit modify/submit (forgot the specific label name)
    7) Prompt appears to say manually turn on developer mode on phone because it's disabled
    8) Open settings app on iPhone, then navigate to the same privacy section and Developer option will be there to enable.
    9) Restart phone and unlock
    10) Pop up will ask if you want to turn on dev mode. Click yes.
    11) Wait a few mins then use either 3uTools (step 5 above) or iFakeLocation
    12) Chopper lift off!

    • -3

      Too much effort.

      I'll stick to iOS 15

    • +5

mine worked perfect with ios 16, i didnt need to do anything diff (besides allow dev tools).

      interesting..

  • I know there was someone above who appears to have the same problem as me, the 7-eleven app is now telling me to upgrade it before I can use it. This only happened in the last week or so. I tried re-enabling all the magisk stuff and all appears in order with that however it's still giving me that message even when the app is actually updated. Anyone know what might be going on?
edit; should add for some reason i have never been able to download the app from the play store, it says it isn't available for my pixel 4a. I had the apk installed from a third party site and that worked fine
edit2; updated to the latest app (2.17.3) and solved the above problem but has now gone back to saying location is not true

    • fixed location issue by taking 7/11 app off the magisk denylist and checking all the boxes in mock mock location and XprivacyLua but now it's saying 'no local price available' regardless of where i set my location or whether i'm spoofing or not
edit; fixed by checking all the other usual boxes in LSPosed/Xprivacy/mock mock locations and putting 7/11 app back on the magisk denylist.

also a general comment for anyone using android 12, i had mad issues trying to get it working as i could not for the life of me get it to pass the safetynet check but following the same guides on android 11 worked fine.

      • Can I get an ELI5? I'm getting the error about location not being true.

  • as ever thanks to Ozb & the developers of the software locked in just in time before the double whammy of increases

  • Hi guys,
Does the app track when fuel was locked? I locked in a price that is 2hrs away from local area. Should i wait before using the lock?

    • +1

It does for the purpose of expiring 7 days after that.

Don't think the attendants usually care when or where you locked it… At least in my experience. Some people have been questioned and even fewer people denied. So id suggest not to worry about it and fill up when you need to

  • Hey guys, i know its late but any cheap locations?

      • …and only been a member for 10 years.

      • Thanks now I do :)

    • lol coles express was where it's at tonight.

Mount failed with status: N/A and error: ImageMountFailed

Usually restarting iPhone fixes this issue, but i've done that 5 times and the error still persists. Any advice??

    • same problem

    • +2

I had that issue until I deleted and redownloaded the most recent version of iFakeLocation and reinstalled the most recent .NET framework.

Doing a complete refresh has worked every time I've run into that error. Just restarting the phone won't do anything in my experience.

    • If using an iPhone, turn on Developer Mode in the iPhone settings.

To enable Developer Mode go to Settings > Privacy & Security.

      • Thanks. I sorted it by upgrading to the latest iFakeLocation and turning on Developer Mode.

I have an Iphone 8, software version 14.8.1

I updated the App as per the 7/11 forced update

I use 3u Tools and it has been working since inception. I update location using 3U Tools and select fuel lock and click on lock the price it comes up saying " Uh oh! That didn't work quite as planned, there seems to be a problem. Please try again later. Error E03."

This has only happened since the forced update.

Anyone know how to fix it?

    Much appreciated. Thank you.

    • +1

I don’t use 3Utools but you could jailbreak with checkra1n and go from there.

    • +1

I locked in using an old iphone 7 on iOS 15.7 and it all worked fine.
      (Using latest version of 3Utools)

My 7-Eleven app version is 2.17.3

      • I fixed my issue by updating my iphone. Thanks all!

  • +2

This might be a stupid question but does the My Card barcode ever change?

Looking at flying multiple choppers and adding the barcodes into Stocard so I don't have to log in and out to switch accounts.

    • +1

no, it stays with your account

    • +1

That's a great idea actually. Reason I've got mine in Stockard is one day the app was unavailable and couldn't redeem my rewards

      • +1

when i do a fuel lock or get a freebie in the app, i screenshot the price/offer and the barcode

  • Whats the lowest spec/cheapest iphone I can buy to lock in prices? I've previously used this a couple years ago on android, but that seems like its a bit of a hassle now.

Is there any way to make it work on android without rooting?

    • +1

At the moment as the 7-Elevel app still only requires iOS 12 or above. It’s an iPhone 5S which can be updated to iOS 12.5.6.

    • +2

Is there any way to make it work on android without rooting?

      Android Nox Emulator

You still have to root it, but it's just a matter of ticking a box.

    • +5

i'm using a 5s as well. you can get these rather cheap at cash converters - about <$100 depending on how rough a condition you can tolerate. (comes with at least 30 days warranty or more, depending on the store)

or an 1st gen iphone se 32gb which is still getting the latest iOS version. i bought one from here for $100 delivered: https://www.liquidate-it.com.au/shop/p/iphone-se-32gb
was impressed with the condition: not a mark on the phone, surprisingly clean and had 92% battery left.

  • Guys, is now a good time to lock in for NSW?
We're at the top of the price cycle, but the fuel excise has ended, so it's only going to trend upwards.
I know it's only delaying the inevitable, but still. Is now a good time to lock ?

    • +1

      I would.

The price has been trending up for the past 4 or so days.

  • Ok so my app suddenly logged me out today and when I try to log back in it says Oops something went wrong.. same if I try and reset my pw.. I have a feeling I have been banned? Anyone else had this recently?

    • Anyone else had this recently?

      Nope, mine worked fine today.

      • Yeah hubby's is working so not entirely sure.. chopper detection? ;)

        • could be.

have you been using your account on different devices?

          • @jv: I got a new phone is all but I have locked price in since that.

When I opened the app today it said my price lock had expired and I shut the app then when I went to look later it had logged me out

            • @bubby: have you been locking prices that are unreasonably far away from where you use them?

              • @jv: Well I am in Vic and prices are crappy so yeah I guess you could say that!

                • -5

                  @bubby: well there's your answer then…

for the last few weeks, prices in Vic have been within a couple of cents of the cheapest in AU, so no real need to lock in interstate and risk getting your account banned.

Even now, you can get 159.9 in VIC, vs 157.9 in WA

                  • @jv: Guess I will be a bit more conservative with my new account!

                    • +4

@bubby: @jv is wildly speculating at best. If you want to know what happened to your account, ask 7-Eleven.

I locked in a price from Perth last week and used it yesterday. Saved 30+ cents per litre. I’ve done this many times and have never had an account issue.

    • i've had the app log me off before (usually because i haven't opened it up on a particular device frequently enough) but i've always been able to log back on. haven't been logged off for a month or so now i open up the app every few days.

  • For iOS 16 users, Do you keep developer mode enabled all the time or only enable while locking fuel ?

    • i have been switching for only while locking fuel

  • My mate and I can't login today, we are both getting the notice ' there's has been a problem logging you in'. Is this happening to anyone else? Is the chopper down?

    • +1

Working fine over here. (iPhone if that helps)

      • Cheers. It does work on my secondary account but not on my primary so I know it's not my app or phone. Might be a server issue. My mate and I both buy another mate a coffee on these accounts, if you know what I mean.

  • Anybody know, if you can you use a price lock and pay with a motorpass / fuel card?

    • Yes

      • Just checked with the fuel pass team at 7-11 appears none of the fuel pass or motor passws are allowed in conjunction with 7-11 fuel lock / app.

        • I have a wex motorpass and it works at 7 -11.
I would apply the fuel lock price, then pay using the motorpass

  • +2

seeing some posts on Facebook groups that a fair few people at getting G17 or G09 errors (basically banned), I'd say with the sudden increase in users providing locks on others accounts, 7-11 may have finally gotten some better compliance going with regards to locking in miles away from used location.

    • +1

Yeah if its 1c difference from the lowest in another state (e.g WA) vs the state you plan on scanning/refueling at, I would just pick that state I'll be fueling up at.

      • Yeah that's obvious. I think some of the shortcut guides given is to just take the best price from Eleven Me app, by clicking on the best price geocode for their fuel type.

        • But also there are a lot of people selling fuel locks for a few bucks (we even saw a few spruiking them here).

      • @cwongtech any experience with these acc bans lately; how are your accounts holding up?

        • +1

A batch of mine got G09'd (banned)

Got heaps of emails, no harm done :)

          • @cwongtech: Percentage wise, how many accounts?

            • +3

@sween64: I don't keep track sorry, I create them in batches and they just.. stop logging in.
I had 12 gone in the latest cull though

What I can say is this:
Verifying a mobile number does not mean they won't G09/ban your account
