Still showing 1.5% for education site also are you sure purchase using gift card is not eligible as there is no such mention on shopback?

    • Check Notes section on SB page.

Cashback is calculated based on the Order Value, excluding any GST/Taxes, Delivery Fees, & any amount paid for with Gift Cards.

Following up here bought an Apple TV $249 ($224 ex gst) with half vouchers half credit card

Got paid out the whole amount

      Your Transaction Summary
      Date Store Order Number Cashback
      2022-01-22 Apple xxxxx A$16.61

  • If this works on orders paid using AppleID balance then this is a good deal.

    • It is eligible via Cashrewards, but the cashback rate is 1.5%.

  • Been waiting for the upsized cashback, holding 4k of GC wanting to stack with the back to school promo plus cashback…but both GC and new MBP are excluded…

Now, I'd rather just buy it from the Apple AOC store

  • would gift card payment work?

Bought an iPhone 12 at the last upgraded cashback of 6%, had the transaction not track and the missing cashback claim rejected. Buyer beware!

  • yes buyers beware, i no longer trust these cashbacks, i'd rather go for direct discount.

@gotyourback is the SB page up to date? CR lists the following:

    • Orders paid for with Apple gift cards are eligible for cashback, and the CR rep confirmed this with Apple last year.. | However, SB continues to list Apple gift cards as a payment method that will invalidate cashback for the portion of the transaction paid for with Apple gift cards.

    • The purchase of the following items are ineligible for cashback until further notice (updated 11/01/22): 9th Gen iPad, New iPad Mini, Apple Pro Display XDR, Gift Cards, Gift Wrap, Shipping, Apple Developer Programs, AppleCare products purchased individually or after applicable product has been shipped. | On the other hand, SB has two different lists of exclusions, with the most recent one dated 16/09/21.

Therefore, there are three possible scenarios I can think of:

    • CR has cut a special deal to have their own list of exclusions (which from what I have read, that is something that does not happen at all), or
    • CR’s page is incorrect, or
    • SB’s page is incorrect.
    • Keen to find this out too!

Need to buy something soon anyway might roll the dice and see if it works.

  • Any thoughts on getting the 27" iMac today?

A bit bananas to buy an Intel iMac unless you have a really good reason.

  • Does the cash back reward works when you checkout with the AOC education store

    • No.

You have to enter the AOC education store through a special link for the Australian Education Union website (the one plastered all over OzBargain) or the University of South Australia website. (Well, they’re the only two AOC stores I know of).

Even if you managed to find a way to navigate to one of the AOC education stores after entering the Apple website through Shopback, you shouldn’t expect to get cashback, because Apple categorises AOC education stores as Employee Purchase Programs (EPPs), and the Shopback page states under DONT’s:

Purchase items using Employee Purchase Program

  • Is this expiring today? I wanna place order monday for beats fit pro, I didn’t see beats products ineligible
