$39 at CarService.net.au for Major Car Service, Active Deal [NATIONWIDE]

10

First time submit.

In the T&C it's $39 for labor cost, not including liquids, even though still cheap, I'll be happy to be corrected if you tell me it's not a bargain.

[edit]Sorry, it's nationwide

hows it nationwide then has vic after it?

    • Vic == Melbourne??
I can only see locations in Melbourne…

These come up a lot and every time I've taken one, I've had to wait up to 8 weeks to get the car in and it's always had about 800 dollars worth of extra work required.

Also, the ones I got included liquids, so I just ignored the rest and took the free juice.

  • you linked to payments page. where are the t&cs?

  • +2

Just be aware that the car service provider would charge you more for the liquids to make the deal worthwhile for them

  • we've done this before, most of these dodgy places find additional stuff that has to be fixed, wouldn't be surprised if some of them even added a few of there own…

or they wont change a your filters to save time etc…

This 'deal' gave me cancer :(

  • This sounds like a bargain. Hyundai are quoting me $350 for the 30k (2 year) service on my i45. As long as these guys do the service according to the handbook that's a huge saving.

    • do you believe it?

    • actually as long as they stamp the log book, you can then do it youself - i atleast trust myself to do it :D.

    • I've had major/minor services done by different people and the majority won't stamp a log book as a logbook service often includes more things depending on what stage service your up to (and even if it doesn't, they still want to charge more for a logbook service).

Honda just told me today my major service will be $780. I guess the extra $741 is for stamping the book. :o

  • With "coupon" car servicing deals you get what you pay for,.. or less…!! :-(

  • i used a voucher at midas gosford. they were really good, they didnt try to sell me anything and there was no problems with the car afterwards. they printed out what was wrong with it which was cv shaft and the leads and those 2 things were exactly what was wrong with the car before I took it there, I got them changed at a different mechanic anyway so midas as gosford really did a good job and didnt try to rip me off.
