8/256 version seems a better deal for an extra $50

  • +1

    This or POCO x3 Pro

    • +2

This if you can afford the small extra. Just better phone.

    • +3

The X3 Pro has a worse processor and screen but has a Micro SD slot and a headphone jack. If you don't need these two features, go with the F3.

Edit: oh and the X3 Pro doesn't have 5G.

      • +4

Just an FYI for those needing 3.5mm. The F3 comes with a 3.5mm to C adaptor in the box.

  • Argh! Just bought from the previous deal for my dad. Good price.

  • +2

You'll be waiting a month for this one from HK

    • 5 weeks for me in WA.

      • CRAZY @gerrys

  • +1

    Wow what a deal.

I've had this phone for 6 months now, I'm happy with it a very fast Snapdragon , big 120hz oled screen, 2 stereo speakers and haven't had any major problems with it's been solid all around.

    Small negatives:

    *No waterproof
*Camera quality above average but nothing to brag about either.
*MIUI 12 not bad but could be better.

At this price it's a no brainer and a true OZbargain.

Install gcam, night photos will be on par with an iPhone 11.. no joke

    • +1

Does vowifi work? We have poor mobile reception so I really need it. Getting fedup with hacking my OnePlus to make it work every update.

      • +1

VoWiFi and VoLTE works for me on Optus - you need to disable the carrier check, and you need to have VoLTE and VoWifi enabled on your account (I had to ask support to enable it).

I'm not sure about Telstra and Vodafone.

        • VoWifi and VoLTE also works for me on Moose (Optus MVNO).

  • +1

pretty sweet deal nice work OP

    • Yes couldn't resist

  • +12

Always the one major fault ,Its sold by Banggood ,Zero customer service, poor or zero warranty and probably loaded with spam ware so check reviews before buying just some advise when i found out the hard way .

    • What happened in your situation?

      • +2

Bought 2 phones one faulty one was second hand it had data on it i spend weeks getting the run a round i ended up have to get a paypal refund and i was out of pocket for return shipping .

        • +6

I learnt the hard way that banggood don't honour warranties too.
I bought a tablet from them which failed after 6 months. Despite clearly stating on their website that their tablets have a 12 month warranty they refused to repair, replace or refund.
As they are not an Australian company the ACCC have no power to help either.
I won't be purchasing from them in the future.

  • People are waiting for K50 series, should we wait

    • +1

Won't be this price. Might not be Snapdragon either

      • +1

Rumour is it will be snapdragon, the k50 has four models, the dimensity cpu ones won't be aus bound. It will probably cost more and likely be april.

        • I heard the equivalent version is still going to use 870 chipset.

      • +1

2 versions at least, will include both SD 8 gen1 and Dimensity 9000.

    • Im waiting for a K50 to replace my K20 Pro.

Foolishly brought the K20 Pro without B28 - it works okay along the coast but as soon as i head inland i only get H+ data speeds.

Not making that mistake again. Bar that the K20 Pro still serves me well

      • +1

I bought a non global version Mi phone before, the reception, kill me really.

    • Yea K50 pro plus might be using the SD gen 8 1 even if they use the Dimensity 9000 that thing is a beast scores over a million on antutu.
Mediatek pulled an AMD move on Qualcomm lol.

  • +2

just bought one to replace my Mi9T which has been a workhorse these past 2 years. Had it running on Lineage with a GCam and it was pure heaven.

    • Sounds good but don't know if I can wait 4+ weeks

    • +1

Been rocking miy Mi 9T with PixelExperience + ANX Camera (works better than the GCams I tried) for 2yrs and without a doubt it's the best phone I've had for the price and even compared to the >$1.2k phones I used to buy before.

      • Yeah I had the mi 9t with pop up camera etc it was pretty good

  • +3

Had this bad boy for a year, no problems, still snappy as anything. Fu— flagships

    • Haha nearly a year ;)

      • +2

        Wow, purchased in May, you're right… 2021 was a slow year x_X

    • +3

You can get 4 of these instead

      • -4

        I don’t need 4.

        • +8

You also don't need an iPhone.

    • +1

Then… go find your self one.

  • After applying the code, the price became the following which is basically the same without code.
    Order Total AU$598.33
    Coupon Discount -AU$193.58
    Total Payment AU$404.75

    • +2

After applying coupon and removing shipping insurance this is what I get in AUD.

  • +1

    Pretty amazing price!
Compared to to Samsung Model (a52s), which is its comparitive model:

    This phone:
    - has a better cpu
    - the fingerprint is on the powerbutton and arguably better
    - the screen is potentially nicer.

Meanwhile, the samsung phone has a few advantages:
    - VoLTE support
    - VoWIFI support

Those ones are big, and telstra have been known to disable it to some oppo and pocco phones in the past mid update cycle too, very frustrating.

You also need to weigh up that the samsung a52s has no real discounts atm: best price for it is $549 via ebay with the $50 discount code atm.

    • +1

I own the phone already and am very happy with it, but I will say the fingerprint sensor position isnt a complete win. It can be easy to accidentally unlock it when holding the phone and other things, or when its in a pocket and you're fumbling around

The speed of the actual unlock is amazing though

    • Have you been able to get volte and vowifi working on these phones at all? I don't mind sideloading config as I have done on my oneplus 6.

  • I can't even get the page to load on tablet lol. Tried an hour ago and again now, multiple refreshes and nothing… Just the banner loads and the main content doesn't. Fail.

Have to set chrome to desktop mode, then it loads 🤦‍♂️

  • Is the 5g even for Australia?

    • Yes, although it's missing one or two bands.

  • +1

Only thing bad about it is camera . In low light it takes blurry pics

  • Damn just bought the X3 PRO 256gb on the last deal for $325 but still waiting even though it's from Sydney…… Should I update to this phone instead for the extra $75

    • And just how are you going to do that, can you still cancel order and get refund now?

Or just cancel and send message asking to pay extra for the difference ( $75 more )?

      • +1

Well I'm hoping this phone will arrive very soon then I may put it up on eBay etc get my money back just an idea but I'm not sure I can wait 4 weeks

        • You think you can get close to same price you paid. I would be too tempted to open the box and play with it untill you

receive the F3 and then selling it ( will lose some money no doubt as new opened box instead ).

          • +1

@ozhunter68: Well for the people who don't want to use these HK companies they will pay more than what we have here so there is a chance to make a profit as is $429 on Kogan which is $100 more than I paid

            • @JesseN9: Yeah, good point as people will get it much quicker. That would be unopened yeah?

Not a good idea to open it to test and wait to sell one between the X3 Pro and F3 to see which you prefer?

              • +1

@ozhunter68: I'm not sure I can be bothered waiting another month this phone is still sitting in Sydney a week later

                • @JesseN9: Sounds like you will be waiting longer either way, but should get the X3 Pro soon.

I ordered white RN10 and was supposed to be a week extra before getting stock, waited 3 weeks

and caved in and settled for the black instead which arrived around 17 days later ( ordered 27/05/2020

and received 06/07/2020 and that tested my patience ). Hmmmm,…..this glass back frosted white looks good

and maybe even slightly better than the RN10 Pro white I really wanted haha.

                  • @ozhunter68: Well if I don't get this X3 PRO soon I'll be very upset

                  • +1

                    @ozhunter68: Pulled the trigger

                    • @JesseN9: Nice one. Did you get the frosted white one, that's the one I want, but still in cart waiting lol.

                      • @ozhunter68: Yes that's the cheapest option

                        • @JesseN9: True, but looks pretty sweet and non slippery with matt finish and not fingerprint magnet if using without case.

Would look nice using clear case or other color if not a fan of white.

  • +1

Thanks just scored the arctic white

  • Already been waiting 2 weeks just to get my X3 PRO from Sydney….. So I don't even want to know how long it will take from HK

  • -1

Worth an upgrade from Poco X3?

  • is this best phone under $4

    • +5

Where are you seeing it that cheap??

      • Obviously he meant $400- very tempting

  • Worth getting one of these for people waiting for the Redmi Note 11 pro?

(which has been releasing in the "next couple of weeks" since October and might end up being released in April for all I know…)

Main concerns about the F3 compared to the Note Pro:
    - Worse battery life? (not only a smaller battery, but the faster processor drains it quicker).
    - No headphone jack.
    - Most importantly, 1 less year of updates?

    • +1

I doubt the note 11 will be anywhere near this price.

And I've watched a few tests on YouTube and the F3 lasted longer than X3 PRO which has much bigger battery…

Most people have wireless buds etc or just use USB C to 3.5mm

      • You mean the note 11 pro will be more expensive?

Wasn't the note 10 pro around this price? (at least the launch promo)

        • Going by memory the launch price was lowest the RN10 Pro was sold at and has not been sold close to that since,

I missed out and was always waiting, so got the lower spec RN10 on sale instead.

Tempted with this F3 as wanted white all along, and this sale is for white and frosted even better.

          • +1

            @ozhunter68: The whites are gone.

Kind of sucks, since I just discovered the black one is glossy as hell.

edit: actually it's still available in this version but only if you don't order from Australia.

            • @HigoChumbo: Had one in my cart since last night, still not purchad. Maybe subconciously I did not really need it lol.

  • Interesting to have 8/256 version but coupon code can't use,

    • The coupon for 8/256 is in this deal

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/675782

      • There's no code??

        • +2

My bad there's no coupon for that deal. $445 is a record low price, so a great deal nonetheless.

          • @adr8: It's $476.33 now.

            • +2

@tinkko: Ahh dammit… Have marked deal expired, thanks.

              • @adr8: Might still be on. I didn't test it though. Don't have the app.

One of the best LineageOS phones in 2021!

  • Be prepared to be mucked around. Probably no stock and options for swapping or refund are painful experiences.

  • this is a great phone.

the lack of headphone jack or expandable storage has not bothered me at all

comes with a usb-c dongle to headphone jack and the 256gb is PLENTY

i have already decked out my phone and only used 30GB

  • As all new flagship phone start use 8 gen , 888 and 888 plus will give to mid range phone, 870 is two years old and basicly 865 . So I think we may have lot of phone better and lower price

    • 888 has inherent overheating issues - watch any youtube vids

870 is the best balance between speed and performance

  • How long will it take to deliver ?

    • +2

In my experience, about 3-4 weeks from HK warehouse sometimes sooner but with the current postal delays that seems unlikely.

      • Yeah I've ordered other items like mi band 6 and it was like 25 days waiting from HK

  • +2

TOOK a gamble. Could not pass up this deal for such a high end phone :) $376 to my door….I will just sell the POCO X3 PRO as it will be sealed should be able to make a little profit selling locally 😉

  • Can anyone confirm this will work with all 3G and 4G bands across all telco's here in Aus? The below website seems to say yes but want to make sure.

    https://www.kimovil.com/en/frequency-checker/AU/xiaomi-poco-…

    • +4

Yes it has all the 3G/4G bands we use in Aus.
