$20-$30 a week is discounted? Man that's expensive

Upon very quick glance I thought they were monthly prices… they’re weekly prices! Gym fees are on roids.

Anyone going to the gym during the current Omicron wave?

  • Perfect. just in time for next lockdown

I'm paying this rate but fortnightly at goodlife.

  • Can this offer be stacked with 50% off for AIA Vitality members?

    • Hey,

      AIA Vitality get 50% off.

They are eligible to get 12 Month Membership for $15.50 per week.

If you complete the link above I'll send you the details :)

      • So it can't be stacked? 50% discount applies to normal price?

        • Correct. Discounts are not stackable.

    Flexible cancel anytime

    Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight…….

    • That was my thought as well. Fitness First has form.

    • +2

Haha! Your request will be processed within the next 180 working days, must be submitted in writing, you must have attended wearing vivid yellow 'fitness first' branded gym shorts (backorder for delivery sometime in 2027) & on a full moon 29th February. Follow those simple terms and conditions and you can 'cancel anytime' :)

      • Yeah and then they will still be deducting payments but blame the payment processor that they convieniently have no control over

they are the worst in any sort of flexibility, I had a serious argument at their reception desk once to get my membershit cancelled, they give you furfies like book an appointment with the manager who is very busy right now and then he will advise you about cancellation, I had rather be unfit than to take the mental stress of Fitness first.
Never ever again with this mob

      • Yes pure and simple I'll never sign up to anything requiring direct debit payments. I still do some using a debit card but it has zero balance most of the time and I only transfer in cash in anticipation of debits.
To many times I'd cancel and they'd still debit and back then the bank used to charge you a direct debit dishonor fee and they'd keep trying. I'm glad banks can't do that anylonger but even still not for me.

  • Jesus the gym is expensive these days. I know gyms have done it tough these last couple of years but $120 a month makes it hard and expensive to be healthy.

    • If you're planning on being a gym regular for fitness and not social, you may as well just buy a bench, squat rack, plates and bar. Scumtree seems to have free racks go up every now and again. Might not look the prettiest but a racks a rack.

      • Exactly my thoughts. Buy gym equipment for home and avoid the gym bros and rona. Win win.

  • as an ozbargainer (and somewho avoiding covid) I would go youtube to do certain HIIT exercises
but of course, if you are truly committed to build up muscles, gyms are the best place to go
