Very Decent price if the Surface Book is your thing, I love these machines
Use 5-10% off JBhifi GCs to get it cheaper, or use a extended warranty credit card for extra piece of mind

Not that decent considering the book 4 is about to be released
What Book 4? It's been replaced by the Surface Laptop Studio
Microsoft events are in September thats over 8 months away
Great laptop, I have the 13.5 inch, Intel core i7, 16GB, 256GB, NVIDIA GeForce 1650 Max-Q.
Definitely needs a pen to make the most of it (bought one at same time), and at times wish for 32gb RAM (I personally wouldn't even consider this with 8Gb - I find use cases such as note-taking with pen from lectures etc, or using multiple chrome tabs rapidly eats up RAM).
The 256Gb storage is frustrating for the price, but with Onedrive and decent wifi it doesn't pose such a big problem.
I paid AU$2,472.00 on Edu store earlier this year, which is expensive but probably worth it for my use. I certainly wouldn't pay 1799 for the lower end i5 with lack of dedicated graphics in the base, and 8Gb RAM.
The screen on all models is great, and the keyboard is very good. The trackpad and speakers are very average (and nothing compared to macbook pro).
Love my Surface Book 3 - i7, 512gb, 32gb RAM.
Great computer. very pricey at $3400 (though through MS Store price guarantee, Cashrewards, and Coles Master Card Price Protection, I was only $1900 out of pocked).
I bought it in lockdown to help with my teaching (three HSC classes). The Pen is great for annotating, taking notes etc. The first Windows laptop I've purchased that I have absolutely loved.
Downsides: (I actually don't mind the trackpad) the speakers are pretty poor (not a problem for me), it's bit heavy, heats up when plugged in, battery life is okay.
What Hsc subjects do you teach?
Mostly SOR. Sometimes English.
Thanks for going above and beyond this year re home based learning.
good price
Bought a surface pro 8(i5,16gb, 256ssd) for only $421 on Microsoft Store on Boxing day. Must be a price error.
Wut? 😮
I call bs
Don’t say that if you don’t get but others get.

Why didn't you post it!?
@CharcoaI: Sorry. When I want to post it after half an hour after I purchased, it was already sold out and the price was corrected. And I don’t know if Microsoft will honour the order or not.
Did they end up sending it?
Good laptop but outdated now
