i got the 240mm version of this when it was on sale at bpc for $75 before shipping. swapped out the stock fans for some arctic p12's as stock ones are very loud and it runs flawlessly. don't hesitate to grab this if you just want raw performance to cost and you've got spare fans around/willing to grab a couple.

    • By Teflon nano bearing, in assuming they mean fancy threaded bearing.
Would explain why they're noisy enough to need replacements ready to go out of the box.
Or is it just the design of the blades that makes them very loud.
They as loud/louder than standard corsair h100i sp120l's?
If the 120mm fans are loud in assuming the 140mm ones are even louder, specially if they run at similar speed.
      Ah yep, checked only 1-200rpm difference Bergen 120mm n 140mm both 2000+rpm

  • Doesn't say it supports LGA1200, is that because it's an old design before it, and marketing material hasn't been updated to include 1200 ?

    • LGA 1700?

      • LGA1200 is 11thGen Intel that's what I'm concerned about. I need a CPU and cooler to go with the OZB GB Aorus Master mobo that went on sale not so long ago.

it does say that it supports lga1200 -> /1156/1200/1356 and

@BargainWizard: omg sorry I didnt see it down that end of the spectrum lol I'm a muppet

I'm getting in on this. Thanks OP

            • @Sheep Whisperer: Actually on the advertisement that's where I couldn't see support for LGA1200. That's what sparked my concern. I don't take to much on the listings details, but when they've used the Manufacturers Marketing brochure that's where I look into a bit more of the details.

  • Hmmm wasn't aware there was a 1356 socket. I have an old i7 960 1366 socket. Could these be the same size for the heatsink??

    • 1356 not the same mounting holes as 1366.
But you're in luck if considering for your i7 960, as that's a typo from bpc, dunno where they copy pasted the specs from, as on evga's website that section is verbatim except for that part where it lists 1366 not 1356.

1356 is basically budget dual socket server design /spec released same time as lga2011 socket in 2012.

      • Ahhhh ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Thought it could have been a typo and meant a 1366 but cool bananas….. i'll stick with the noctua U9B-SE2 heatsink that has been working fine since it first came out.
        Thanks again mrhashish :-D
