In before anyone asks "Will this change colour based on the image displayed on the screen"? No, it won't.

It's also yet another LED ad which, from the images in the ad, imply that the LED strips can display multiple colours at once via individually addressible LEDs or sections. No, they cannot. There should be a specific downvote rule for those vendors who use these misleading images given that it is so rife.

6 vibrant colors optional to match diverse scenes.

this section reveals that it is not ARGB.

I guess the only part is those corner connections.

Problem is half the photos on the page are misleading.

Hi,i am so sorry about it, we will revise some photos, and if possible, please have a check again. Thanks for your attention.

    • Thank you kind ozbargainer

    • You think a $13 will do the same as a $130 Phillip hue?

Fail to see how your lack of research is the fault of the vendor..

It's actually in the description and Q&A that you have to change the colour yourself.

"Q:Does it change colour with the movie

      Answer this question
A: They don't sync to audio but you can use the remote to make the lights change colours are different speeds."

      • Right, so some random punter coming along is just supposed to know how much a feature should cost? And they should be able to deduce the operation of a product based on pictures that show something it isn't?

Or maybe, just maybe, the onus should be on the vendor to represent their product accurately.

And, for good measure, your attempt to defend a misleading description and shift the blame on to the customer has failed utterly. The Q you quoted wasnt actually answered: "They don't sync to audio", and the fact that the unit has a remote that can change the colours has no relation as to whether the unit can do it on its own or not.

        • If there a write up on what the item can and can't do and you purchased it without bother reading, how is that anyone's fault?

Lazy is lazy. Do your research.

          • @PuppieWayne: The vendor should post the correct information and not attempt to deliberately mislead consumers. Lazy is lazy.

            • @Astronaut Joe: Slow me where in the write up did the vendor stated the colour is dynamic and will adjusted according to what's on the screen?

You making wrong assumptions and blaming the vendor is just wrong.

              • @PuppieWayne: The original pictures, as I pointed out, showed the product displaying multiple colours at once. Their replacement thumbnail picture still shows the coiled up strip displaying a range of different colours alongs its length, clearly implying that the product is capable of this feature, which is not an accurate representation of the product.

You tell me how the vendor is not wrong when, twice, they display images which deliberately misrepresent the product, even after they acknowledged this.
I'd also like you to tell me why you are so determined to defend vendors who can't do the right thing, and lay the blame on consumers who may not be tech-savvy but take the vendor at their word that what the vendor has advertised is what the vendor will provide.

                • @Astronaut Joe: We are arguing different things..

I'm talking about the assumption people make thinking this will adjust colour to match what's on the screen. You talking about the false advertising that a single led can display multiple colours..

For the latter, I do agree with you.

Pretty poor reviews and misleading advertising. Downvoting just so people read the comments and are not misled that those are individually addressed LEDs.

    • Hi, had update the photos, really so sorry about the misunderstand.

  • Works as expected, seem quite good so far.

  • Oh oh…..no good. Sticky stuff coming off, and more importantly the usb has become dodgy and I have to push it up in the port to get it working.

Will be returning these for a full refund.
