NO idea if these ones are any good however if you want garage or workshop lighting these sorts of panels are excellent. I have a couple of Dawnlux 40W panels and I am very pleased with them but they are certainly more expensive than the ones posted. Mine are 3 temp switchable and I found that very worthwhile as I selected my preferred colour temp for the workshop after trying all 3 temps.

Would rather just grab 2 ledVance tri colour ones for a bit more from pretty much any electrical wholesaler

      • Yep about the same price but guaranteed quality/warranty versus this one on ebay

  • Are these really a bargain though?

Is there any reviews or videos of operation?

Wow at 3200 lumens it might be a bit brighter than my LED globe at 500 lumens. Even the ceiling fan at 1200 lumens we have is bit too bright.

Would it be OK for a dungeon…asking for a friend.

        • nah its too bright, you need to get some red led globes for a dungeon.

          • @kurupted: Ok, I'll pass that on to Father O'Leary.

How do you mount these types of panels? Do they have brackets or fixture points on the frame?

    • they should have like 3 spring clips on each side, just like a big downlight. you will need to cut a huge hole.

    • It's not obvious from the photographs. I suspect that the diffuser is removable cover and that there would be screw holes underneath. The transformer seems to be a separate unit designed to be mounted in the ceiling cavity.

    • These normally go into suspended ceilings and are dropped into a frame. To install them onto a normal ceiling you can use brackets but they won't be flush mounted then.

Price from wholesaler must vary a little.

  • Hey OP. you forgot to mark yourself as associated

  • That whole description is just pointless techno babble. The lenses on a 9mm thick panel are very average. A good lens really helps with glare reduction and gives the fitting a UGR rating that may allow it to comply with AS1680. These fittings would suitable for a garage but that's about it.
