eufy RoboVac35c Wi-Fi Robotic Vacuum $199 (Was $399) + Delivery (Free Click & Collect) @ JB Hi-Fi

130

Not the best specs or features out there (no mopping, map room zoning etc) but it has pretty great reviews, especially for this price. Might be a good investment for in-between 'deep cleans'

Bought one at the price last year and Jeffery (its alias) is definitely a bit of a muppet with no mapping and nibbling at your toes if you dont watch it but I find it very useful (not the toe nibbling). It confuses guests when it hides under the couch or fridge but gets to areas we wouldn't touch.

It cleans really well on and off carpet and is simple enough to clean when it's choking on a hairball.

Charge is enough to do most areas of our 3x2 without really thinking about it.

My biggest dissapointment is that I have never managed to get the app to work or connect to Google or Smartthings despite voice control being an apparent feature.

Also he seems to bee-line for wired earphones and has even somehow pulled them off a bed just to choke on them so keep an eye on that.

    • connected with Alexa straightaway, you don’t need smartthings

      • Im using Google and it won't work with or without smartthings

Our rosie is equally inclined to search out loose cords. Straight lines through the middle of the area unless the dog lead was left in the corner 3 rooms away.

Also, she does not like the sun. Please close blinds during operational times.

She has hooked up to google and works for everyone but me on voice commands.

As someone who bought this, I would not recommend it.

If a little bit of debris gets trapped in the front bumper, it starts doing circles and stops and beeps. You have to do a deep clean every few weeks.

  • what would people recommend - no mopping, but good mapping?

Google Maps is pretty good for mapping.

      • or if you are feeling really adventurous ..Apple Maps

        • Great callout. Waze isn't too shabby as an alternative.

    • Look at the lower end Xiaomi/Roborock or the Viomi stuff, they have mopping but you don't have to use it. I think kogn flogs the Xiaomi for between 279 and 329 typically. Another benefit is filters and brushes can be hd from aliexpress for next to nothing. For potentially 79 bucks you extra no one should be looking at non mapping robot vacs

  • thanks op, bought one

Don't buy robot vacuums without lidar/room mapping. They're more frustrating than useful IMO

Depends how deep your pockets are.

I ended up with this 35c from the JB HiFi $99 deal in February. It does a really good job of keeping the floors clean, especially the hard floors. The trick is not to watch it work - it is the most mind boggling frustrating thing to watch as it mindlessly goes around bumping into things.

I just let it roam every day (4 bedroom house) and it goes about it's business, never comes "home" empty, and sweeping the floors is now a rarity. I empty it every day and give it a clean (sensors etc) once a week. It sometimes gets stuck but mostly on things like rug fringes etc which are a known issue (even with the dearer machines).

Anyone who expects a cheap model like this to perform as efficiently as a $700-1200 model with Lidar, cameras etc is going to be disappointed, but if you just want a cheap vacuum to keep the floors clean, then this is a good option.

I got one for the same price. Useful for me, who is just a lazy ass in the house cleaning department.

    I just set and forget.

Not the smartest there is, but for this price, not expecting it to be.

  • Just gave it a go, it did great. As it doesn’t have a lidar, it goes over the same place couple of times, but who cares.

I am quite happy with the performance at this price point.

Me too! I just gave it a run and I'm very impressed with it for the price. Picked up heaps of dust when I only vacuumed my floors a few days ago, very surprised!

  • anyone has experience or compare to amazon ECOVACS DEEBOT N79T Robotic Vacuum Cleaner 3-Stage Cleaning System App Control????

  • What's the difference between these two?

The 35c sucks more and has an app. That’s about it really.
