It's hard to see how there can $1200 more value on this than one of the Amazon $300 specials.

    • +9

Well for one this one mops…. if you fail to see how mopping is good for your floors then I worry about the state of your floors.

      • may be he is having carpet floors.

        • +11

That is possible but he should probably mention that in the comment then. Like if i said I find no vacuum is worth it. Footnote: I'm homeless.

      • Well my $300 lubluelu from Amazon mops also and has self-emptying dust collection.

    • +1

I went from the ozbargain favourite lubluelu to the QRevo and the convenience when it comes to mopping is worth it
      - not having to fill up the water each time
      - not having to add the mop pad each time
      - not having to remove the mop pad

      • +1

Cleaners cost more in 6 months than the entire vac.

Plus, this thing is there 24/7 and gets all the nooks and crannies.

Worth investing in what you can afford / for your needs imo.

        • Cleaners generally don’t just vacuum and mop the floor. They clean tables/benchtops/toilets/shelves etc

          • +1

@illusion99: That subset is why I said 6 months payback period.

    • does it get defeated by socks? and cables? does it get stuck sometimes, and you have to make restricted areas, does the map just disapear

  • +2

can't wait for Roborock Qrevo Edge to come close to this price

    • What are the different?

      • +1

bigger battery with much higher suction and its the colour that mrs wants
also the master bin size is 220ml vs edge that has 325ml, currently there is no way for the vacuum to know if internal bin is full when cleaning, so you might end up with uncleaned floor is its too big area, they only empty when it returns to bin.

        • So if you have a small apartment, should the QRevo Master suffice? I want edge-to-edge cleaning with the mop and vacuum. I want a better way for the dock itself to be cleaned as the S7 MaxV Ultra mopping area of dock gets dirty AF. I'd prefer warm water on the mop. And finally I want to retain the ability to video call to the robot so I can chase the cat around.

All the other stuff like being able to lift up or auto detergent rinsing is lost on me.

          • @tommypickles: Don't know abt camera, but remaining stuff should be good with master

  • Thís ỏr ecovac

    • you need to compare specific models

    • +1

A friend has an Ecovac and hates it. I bought a Roborock S8 pro and love mine. Hard to compare, I know, but so far I can't fault my dear Rocky except when it tries to eat the odd sock.

  • Is Roborock Saros 10 the new range?

    • Yes and qrevo curv/edge

    • It is. However, strangely Roborock decided to have it go with the vibration mop instead of spinning ones.

      • Saros 10R replaces the S line. This is separate to QRevo line.

  • +3

I'm far from a tight arse but I can never get over how much these things cost. There are even models selling for $2999 at JB holy crap thats a lot of coin for a vacuum!

    • +1

You definitely pay top dollar for the newest models, which is why they are constantly releasing new ones with incremental upgrades.

Once you have bought a robovac, you aren't likely to buy another for quite some time.

    • +1

Same as how everyone complains $2k is expensive for a phone. Or $12 is expensive for ice cream. Just add this to the list of items that ppl like to complain about

    • +1

Roborock's most advanced and recent model sells at less than 1k in China, but its app is geo locked 😥

  • +2

Please note: This product is End of Life

*An end-of-life (EOL) product is a product that has reached the end of its useful life and is no longer being sold or supported by the manufacturer.

    https://roborockstore.com.au/products/qrevo-master

    • Is that a dealbreaker?

    • +2

No longer being supported… that’s language that Consumer Affairs would love to review.

    • +1

Are you serious? It only got released q4 last year?

    • I would guess that it's EOL so they can finally bring the Q Revo Slim here. The slim is a upgraded version of the Master with better features all around but it'll likely be more expensive so for now this is still a decent buy.

  • +1

this or S8 MAX? S8 looks more adorable

    • +1

Also curious to know because got the S8 Max Ultra recently

      • Like the s8 one piece mop

  • anybody had luck trying to get this price matched with JB and the like?

    • Yea tried live chat with Jb HiFi. They said no and offered to discount it at $2500

      • Same lol. Cheaper on the official roborock website for $2000 so if you're itching to really get one then there you go

    • +2

Sign up and refund the membership within 12 months

    • Yeah would like to know as well. Need to get rid of some gift cards.

  • Reviews say vacuuming is not that good. What's the point of getting a robot vac where vacuum is not that good????

  • I got the base QRevo about a month ago for $700 or so after pricematching, down from the $995 it’s normally listed at. The mop function is decent and makes my floorboards feel clean.

I would definitely go with the upgraded avoidance tech models if they came down in price if you have kids/pets that leave things randomly around the house. Mine has gotten stuck on a couple occasions, but can’t justify a higher end model for nearly $800 more after price matching the base model.

It’s crazy the price difference going up to the higher end models like master/edge/max etc. I feel you get 85-90% of the capabilities with the base model but you’re paying incrementally much more for the bells and whistles. The base model also has the biggest water storage and dump bins which is vital when the vacuum washes the mop 3 times on a full clean, and my space isn't huge, about 46m2. Multiply this by 3-4 times a week and you’re constantly finding yourself maintaining the vacuum.

  • My 2 cents after using qrevo S.
    - While it does not have all functions as master, vacuum wars rates them both on par on floor cleaning quality.
    - I do not want/need obstacle avoidance as I want my mop to clean entire floor and not miss spots and it takes roughly 15 - 20 minutes once a week for me to remove all obstacles before starting qrevo.
    - After using it 4 times in month, I clean pads and the bottom area of the robot vac and docking station thoroughly and I feel doing this often will help with logetivity of this device so don't feel the need to have hot water wash system.
    - With the money saved (paid $950 for 'S' model) we also bought dyson stick vacuum. This way we can cover both carpet and any missed areas in another 15 - 20 minutes.

TLDR, I would rather save some money and do bit of manual cleaning and not pay over $1000 for few extra features.

    • Same sentiments in my above reply. I’ve also already invested in more ‘manual’ cleaning tools like a washg1 and 2x v10s prior to the roborock, so really, I should just utilise those instead.

    • I also got the QRevo S, and while i'm super happy with it i do wish it had the extendable mop. With polished floor boards in the kitchen, hallways and a few rooms there's a noticeable ~5cm gap which doesn't get mopped because it can't get right up to the walls.

But yes i agree, i don't see the need for the hot water mopping. Just manually clean the pads and base tray once a month like you do and it mops great.

  • +1

Had my eyes on edge, but thinking of buying this.. I want least manual work here and edge cleaning is one of the main priority. Tiled floor.. is this ok or wait for Edge to come down? TA

    • +1

Edge is available for 2150ish on Goodguys commercial. So that's probably a good gauge of where the sale price would go to for quite some time. This is still 600 bucks below that so I'd jump on this.

  • Been waiting on a good deal on this. From my brief research seems like it'll be a good option for my parents who ideally want a robo vac that vacuums and mops with as little human interaction as possible.
Primarily tiled large house. Also some carpets.

Is there anything better on the market that fits this requirement?

    • I think this is pretty much the best bang for buck for what you are after. Has heated mop washing, video calls even, dual rollers which apparently are very good at picking up pet hair. The lower models don't have those features. I'm still tossing up if its worth 1.5K tho lol.

      • Sensational, thanks for that.

I got them a $150 lubluelu and that works pretty well but they don't use the mopping as it's a lot of manual intervention required. Hopefully this is the solution!

        • +1

The manual intervention of mopping is why I upgraded to QRevo.

Now, I don't hesitate to run the mop.

        • 10 times the price but hey I think its great for aging parents. Good on you for looking out for them!

  • +2

Be warned this brand has a shady record when it comes to quality and warranty. Stories are appearing in China, where this brand came from, about them refusing to pay for damages caused by their products.

Whether they'd behave better here under stricter regulations remains unknown, but I for one will not trust it.

  • What’s costcos return policy like if unopened? Won’t need this for another month but also not sure if I have the space for it..

    • +2

For electronic goods, Costco Wholesale’s return policy for change of mind only applies for 90 days from the date the member receives the following goods: televisions, projectors, major household appliances (including refrigerators, freezers, rangehoods, cooktops, microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers), computers, touchscreen tablets, smart watches, cameras, aerial cameras (including drones) security cameras, camcorders, MP3 players, cellular phones and portable air conditioners.

  • +1

I would recommend everyone to hold until Donald trump increase tariff to 60% for all Chinese goods. By then most electronic goods from China will be flooding the Australian market similar to what is happening to the automative industry atm.

  • Bruh.. why black..

  • please be aware, this Robo Vac is the only one in their product line which is flagged as an # EOL!

    check this: https://roborockstore.com.au/products/qrevo-master

  • The online price for this is the same as the warehouse price, for those that were thinking of going to save a bit more money (normally the online price is higher since it includes delivery)

  • Oh no it appears to be out of stock now, was just about to get it too.
Is there a way to see if it's in stock in store?

  • Any chance this will come back into stock?

    • I suggest calling your local Costco and hope they have stock on the shelf. My local store did have stock.

  • Anyone know if this is coming back into stock?

    • Hey all, this is in stock in certain stores. Call Costco and confirm if your store location has stock. My store location had almost 8 or 9 in stock and I just picked it up in person. It just shows up as out of stock online - no idea why.

      • Was the price in store the same?

        • yes, I got it in-store and it was the same price

        • Yes same price as listed in this deal.

      • I think the online stock and the store stock are treated separately.

  • Got mine, absolutely love it.

  • I can confirm that Marsden Park in Sydney has none
