Is Ubi the new epic games? Let the best free game platform fight begin!

    • +5

There’s some decent freebies coming up from Epic.

      • Yeah someone said there was a rumour of epic doing a mass giveaway over the holidays. Any hints?

  • Does it allow two player same screen? (Two remotes)

    • +3

      Yes, its great co-op

    • +4

One of the best family couch co-op games available for PC. Possibly THE best, easy top 5.

      • +3

My then 4 and 6 year olds had an awesome time with this game, our first couch, co-op platformer!

I played it with my kids too. For that age group I recommend:

          Rayman Legends
Lego games (Lego Marvel Super Heroes etc)
Buying Nintendo Wii U games and emulating them on PC like Mario Kart 8, Mario 3D World, etc.

@ItsMeAgro: Haha that's exactly the formula I've taken on too. They're bit older now and starting to enjoy my PS5 O_O

Great little game, had a lot of fun with it on the WiiU.

  • +2

I feel like this game has gone up as a Ubisoft freebie for several years now, regardless it's a very fun game to play through.

  • +3

played this on ps3, it is one of the best platformers I've played, and Rayman Legends is even better, and I'm pretty sure includes all the levels from Rayman Origins

    • Not quite. Rayman Legends includes a small selection of unlockable remakes of levels from Rayman Origins.

  • Do I need another launcher for this? or can you just download the game? I have never got anything directly from Ubisoft before.

    • +6

You'll need the Ubisoft Connect launcher.

I, too, resisted getting multiple launchers for a while, wanting everything on Steam. But then there were so many great giveaways on GOG, Epic, Amazon and Ubisoft (plus PC Game Pass) that I caved and am better for it. Just get a library manager like Playnite or GOG Galaxy and set it up, then you won't need to worry about the effort of multiple launchers.

      • Thanks mate, shall give them a go.

  • Dammit. You Aussies get all the good stuff. It's not showing as free for me, $14.95 in the states.

    • +4

Showing as $14.95 for me too in Australia, logged in with an Aussie-registered account - but the deal says tomorrow so assuming it will be free tomorrow.

    • I think thats because it hasn't started yet. The US tends to receive the same treatment when it comes to game giveaways and only a select few countries are restricted.

Unrelated, but: does anyone know how to see what free games you've claimed with Ubisoft?

I have claimed several free games but haven't installed any yet. There is no trace of having claimed these in my account anywhere I can see, unlike with Epic or Steam which makes it crystal clear that you've "bought" these free games.

    • There is a section in the Ubisoft launcher that shows you what games you own though..?

      • Ahh, OK thanks, I had the installer for a while but recently switched to a new gaming PC and haven't re-installed it. I'll try that and see if they show up.

  • Bah. You're right. Long day and all that…thanks

  • Add this one to your account RDY4ME

Nice for those who missed it when it was previously free back in Mid August 2016. (Ubisoft 30th Birthday). Free again for Ubisoft's 35th Birthday.

  • Cheers!
