  Reminder that its cheaper to go to Skygate (DFO) by bus & catch free shuttle bus to Terminals.

  Council Buses are free next Fri-Sun.
  A lot of Brisbane is not close to train lines.
  But CBD is easiest reached by train.

    Yeah, I tried that years ago. Flew in, got on shuttle bus to DFO, then caught a local bus to the nearest train station, and then caught the local train into the city. Only short walks - all manageable with 2 youngish kids and luggage too.

      Bus from Skygate stops at Toombul - station is across the road.

      GoCard is sold at airport - saving money on ticket price. Works with bus & train.

      Have direct bus to Skygate 5min walk from home. (Free or cheap bus for me.)
      Shuttle to Terminals leaves from same stop.

        Yeah, that sounds familiar.

        Mind you, stopping at the DFO meant I ended up buying shoes for the kids and that probably cost me more than the Airtrain tickets… :P

  If you have more than 2-3 in your party it's cheaper to book Airpark and catch the shuttle that comes by every 10-15min. Did it last week and was surprised how quick (5 min) it gets you to & from the domestic terminal.
