Does the FREE 100g Mystery Pack ($10 value) through coupon code OZBARGAIN work with any other 500g purchase from shop? I will not purchase the honey roasted as the ingredients include added sugar.

    • Yes it does, you can order any flavour you like - thank you! :)

Okay, I have ordered another and yes, the code worked. It would be a great chance for you to name the local honey supplier (and maybe also sell their products on your site). I've never understood the addition of sugar as the two products; the nuts and honey, are flauvoursome enough - and sweet enough - without addition of sugar.

We will actually be adding raw Macadamia honey as a standalone product to our website very soon!

          • @macnuthut: Thanks, be sure to post here in response at that time.

    Nice.

OP… Maybe take out the sugar in the honey roasted ones? A bit too sweet and macadamia nuts are well suited for lighter flavour.

Thanks for your feedback, we will take it on board. We recently adjusted the recipe for our hickory smoked Macadamias too after the feedback we received about them being too salty.

      • We have bought the honey as well Moroccan. We are more keen to have salt/sugar reduced by at least 50%. Having said that, we probably take less salt/sugar than most people.

Ordered unsalted dry roast to support local business as well a treat for ourselves.

        Thanks.

        • And I would prefer more salt…

          • @mapax: Wow… That is alot of salt in take.

        • Appreciate the support, we will have those out to you soon 👌

Whats the percentage of honey? I have been tricked before, bought a honey roasted one from another company and it contains <1% honey, mostly covered in sugar/syrup.

    • Would be good to know too. This one is definitely very sweet.

OP not answering although was online. I guess its also another dodgy company claiming honey roasted but containing only a drop of honey.

        • +1

Yea. Likely. Not warrant a negative vote. Seems to be the normal practice.

also guessing sugar crystallises better than honey?

Sorry for keeping you on the edge of your seat for so long, however we don't continually monitor ozBargain. Still, I try and engage in the comments as much as possible when we have an active deal.

As far as a reply to your question goes our processor states that they contain a minimum of 15% raw honey. With sugar making up the rest of the sweetness in the coating. If they were to solely use honey they would not get the same coverage whilst keeping the product affordable.

No tricks here and we're far from a 'dodgy company' in fact we have literally hundreds of OzBargainers that make up our regular returning customers now. (Thanks guys! 😍)

A negative vote because you weren't satisfied with how another (separate) company made it for you one time? Huh.

Ordered a few bags. Best of luck growing your business!!!

    • Thank you for your support!

I can wholeheartedly recommend Wondaree Macadamia Nuts from the Atherton Tablelands in Queensland, was eating them last week in Port Douglas. Their honey roasted nuts (400g) are almost the same per kilo as these are, after discount.

  • Nuts arrived already, thanks so much!!!

    • We're glad to hear that you're happy, enjoy!
