That sort of kills the Outside aspect.
I run an extension lead from garage to a waterproof power box with a power board in it, runs all my Christmas lights on one smart plug set to come on at sunset. Not that hard to set up.
Electrician gave it the all clear.
They don't seem to handle the Qld storms so well..no fun having a short circuit in a storm.
For me it's solar, batteries or nothing outdoor.
I'm in sunny coast they have been through a few storms, no issues just had to unzip and empty some water out a couple times. I use tent pegs rather than the plastic pegs they come with.
