The Moto Edge Fusion is absolutely worth the extra $80 from JB hi-fi.
https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/motorola-edge-20-fusion-5…
yeah …5G and hd+ screen is a bit sad, the edge has much better display and also 5G.
Why is Edge worth xtra $80?
AMOLED Screen, HDR+, FHD+, 800U , 90HZ refresh rate :)
Cheers got one for wifey, 6gb ram also
I just read that its 108mp camera combines 9 pixels into one, to produce a 12megapixel image.
mmmmm.Pixel binning is common, no?
yeah it is, but. .. it sounds a bit extravagant to go from 108->12mp
even my DSLR which is 30mp does RGGB but it produces a 30mp file interpolated from pixels which are either Red, or green or green or blue; whereas this phone seems to produce a 12mp file out of 102 pixels.
so the equiv is my dslr producing a 7.5mp image which it doesnt do.
@FoxJump: I mean, I guess it depends on what size you normally set your pixel density to when you develop.
12mp is multitudinously enough for a roadside billboard
the amount of storage to store a 108mp image is huggge ….so they weave their magic to use the detailed information to calculate a lower res high accuracy image and compress into jpeg …..that should be more accurate , there are limits in what can be achieved natively due to sensor size and lens size, one of my older phones did 21mp. native, the marketing people will always publish numbers to get peoples attention and most people don’t read the fine print ……
Cheers! I wasn't aware of this phone till now. Looks like a winner 😊
How good is it comparing to Samsung S21+?
Way nicer on the wallet.
How does the 48megapixel camera compare to my 12 megapixel Olympus tg5?
Or to my 30megapixel Canon DSLR?36 more than your olympus and 18 more than your cannon
well the size of the lens on the olympus or nikon captures so much more light than a phone camera lens already so more accurate and less calculating to do ….. advantage of a phone vs dslr is the phone is always handy to the moment, dslr you need to plan to use so you might miss the moment…. i also have a dslr to supplement my phone camera …..
How about the G10? Thinking of getting that for my kid
I have one of these , PU for $180 in black Friday sales. Quite big, I've had a couple of random crashes on so far.
I like the Google assist button.
Phone ships with case ,also has headphone jack on top, so can charge of n cradle and plug into stereo at the same time.
Good cheap Motorola, would recommendThanks for that
Anyone know if this has VoLTE/WiFi calling on Telstra?
Is the Motorola Edge 20 Fusion 5G currently the best in the $400 range or better to wait for better deals? Looking for wife Christmas present :-)
Yes.
Unless you want to "IOU" a gift, and see if the a52s comes back to $450 or so for boxing day sales.
same price as jbhifi, and extra 5% off with code
Which code?
Thanks
Only thing stopping me is the resolution, pretty low considering it is 5G and you are going to use for streaming…
Deal is dead back to $397
it feels like only yesterday they had the g6
