From what I have tested, Samsung and LG phones are not capable of USB-C/alt-mode DP 1.4, only DP 1.2. So the "updated" version (which sounds like DP 1.4) might technically be "compatible" with those phones, but you will only be able to get at most 4K/30Hz.
Macbook Pro 2016/2017/2018/2019, Macbook Air 2018/2019 - again, dangerous quoting these. If they are 13 inch models, they too are limited to 4K/30Hz with these DP 1.4 based dongles. It does look like some of them are DP 1.2 based dongles, which could do 4K/60Hz with those devices, but the USB-A ports are USB 2.0. For 15 inch models, some are DP 1.4 capable, but some aren't.
Don't just look at the pictures, blue USB-A ports don't necessary mean USB 3.0 in some of them.
Read carefully about the product descriptions. Also, as usual, the way USB-C/PD pass through is quoting input voltage, not the output voltage. If you read some of the comments, you can roughly work out the power usage of the hub. It's not 87W out (as people have commented). Some customers were upset about that. As far as I know, only Anker has quoted correctly (indicating both max input and max output) in one of their products.
