Tried it once and it just .00000056% nuts and all water .
Open your tap up for 100 times cheaper :)
Note the reason above why no sugar or fat .

    • +2

i just looked and it is 96.5% water, 2.5% nut :(

      • +20

        Milk is 90% water also

        • +6

I feel like I've been living a lie

      • That's what she said.

      • +1

        What about the other 1%?

        • +1

          1% air :)

    • +4

Most nut milks have very low % of actual nuts.

  • +4

idk how people drink that nut flavoured water.. SoGood is SO bad.. overpriced, watery, disgusting.

the only decent milk alternatives are Woolies Macro Rice Milk & PureHarvest CocoQuench

    • +4

Australia’s Own is a very good choice as well

      • Yes! I forgot to add that one.

    • Soy like BonSoy is pretty decent

      • -6

idk, soy tastes weird. Plus there's the higher levels of phytoestrogens - don't wanna grow manboobs.

        • +3

          Absolutely false

        • +1

          Common misconception about soy

        • show me the evidence it's false? everything I've read would lead to it being true.

      • Why is this downvoted? I thought people liked BonSoy.

        • Not sure, unlike nut based milk soy doesn’t need to have its vitamins and minerals artificially added….

    • +4

The only stuff you like is full of sugar… what a surprise.

      • +2

True, both of those he mentioned are foul (very sweet). This is actually one of my favourite almond milks.

To those going on about the %, if you want the real thing just blend almonds and water up yourself, if you have a decent blender like a vitamix it's easily done. It gets a bit old, I ended up going back to the shop bought stuff for convenience.

        • I doubt most people want high percentage almond milk, its way too strong.

          • @samfisher5986: Yup, it seems like a great idea when you see these bottles saying 1-3% nut content until you make your own with 33% content and realise too much of a good thing isn't really so good lol.

    • Woolies Macro Rice Milk & PureHarvest CocoQuench

Madness. So Good Unsweetened Almond and Coconut is tastier, less sugar, and has additional added vitamins (not just calcium like most of them, or nothing at all, like a few of them).

      • +1

Good to see you again Agro. I grew up with you, hope life is well.

        • Yeah retirement suits me pretty well. Being a puppet was fun but… uncomfortable.

    • Milklab almond milk is very good and "creamy" for an almond milk… I quite enjoy it frothed with my coffee (can be purchased in bulk off Amazon)

  • +4

    packed with nutrients like

Emulsifier (Sunflower Lecithin), Natural Flavour, Salt, Mineral Salt (Sodium Bicarbonate), Vegetable Gum (Gellan), Antioxidant (Ascorbic Acid),

    umm yummo

  • Their soy milks are my go-to, but can't get around this.

  • Would eating almonds be better?

    • Definitely tastes better

    • +9

Not if you're trying to make coffee

    • +3

      Not really equivalent.

Would eating beef be better than drinking milk?

      • +2

Go one step further and eat grass instead

  • The only good almond milk is chocolate ‘Almond Breeze’. It slaps

  • +2

I swallow the nut… quickly. That way you get the goodness but are spared the taste. Mostly…

  • Just purchased the last 6 in stock, damn was going to buy 48 as price was so cheap!

    • You can buy a few 6’s I think

      • +1

Can only buy 6, then once I checked out it wouldnt let me repurchase more unfortunately.

  • +1

Price matching Coles. Same price there

  • -1

Cant understand why people drink this kind of thing, like i mean as other people pointed out, the amount of stuff coming from nuts is actually very low….its flavoured water with a few chemicals mixed in.

    • +4

Because it is still healthier than cow milk

    • +19

As someone mentioned above the cow's milk you buy at the supermarket is 90% water. So is Coke and Pepsi. Beer is closer to 95% water depending on the ABV.

I'm more perplexed by the people who think there's some sort of scam going on because it's not completely 100% pulverised almonds. Some of us just want a non-dairy alternative to put on our cereal.

      • +2

^ what this guy said. On a calorie deficit, I love making anabolic protein ice-cream. Instead of full fat or skim milk, unsweetened almond milk gives it a nice milky taste, since most of the flavour is elsewhere anyway.

    • About 91-96% of urine consists of water.

      Fun fact.

    • I was the same as you until I started a keto diet and realised how 'unhealthy' normal milk was due to high carbs sugar etc and this almond milk is more suitable due to low carb content.

  • My wife uses the sweetened version of this nut juice in coffee - too bad that's not on special

    • Sweetened version is high in sugar, tell her to switch to unsweetened as sugar count is essentially zero.

      • -1

About the same or less sugar than cow milk

  • An interesting observation by my wife who uses this Almond milk in her coffee. So Good seem to have changed their packaging slightly recently and along with it she says it now has a less pleasant taste. The original had a darker blue cap, the new less pleasant one has a lighter blue cap and says 'packaged by sig' on the side.

Not sure if others have noticed the same thing.

    • +1

I noticed the difference but it was between a standard (with sugar) version and this unsweetened version.

the unsweetened one has a lighter blue cap, compared to the normal sugared one that is darker blue.

the carton was made by different companies. one is Sig the other is FSC. I figured it was just different supplier for packaging for the different versions.

I use both to mix as standard is way too sweet and unsweetened is kinda yuck to me.

      • +1

I felt the same as you regarding unsweetened, absolutely hated it first few times, but persisted and now love it, amazing how you can train the brain!

  • The only way to differentiate between almond milks is the percentage of protein, which corresponds to the percentage of almonds. Most are 0.4-0.8g protein 100g.

You can easily make your own using a coffee/spice grinder .

    • Most tell you the percent of almonds in the ingredient list.

      • +1

"Pureharvest Organic Almond Milk with 10% activated almonds" is a scam. It fooled me for a while. I found a post by an employee saying "activated almonds" means they soak them in water and swell up, then process them. It has 0.8 grams protein per 100g, same as all the others.

"So Good High Protein Almond Milk" has 4.1g protein per 100g, but most of the protein is soy. Its soy milk with a few almonds thrown in.

And another scam I noticed is the declining amount of tomatoes in tomato sauce. It keeps declining every year, they will be selling water & calling it tomato sauce next.

    • Makes sense.

  • Assuming these are imported. Any idea where from?

The nutrition label is def not Australia spec…

  • Max order quantity is 3 now.

  • +1

If you have a good blender just keep some almonds around, and blend whenever you want.

  • Cheers purchased the last 6 it seems 🤐
