    • I see it in stock…

      • Maybe that was just temporary oos

I just updated the deal link. What happens now if you open the link?

      • This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location.

        Wollongong

    • Hmm, how odd - it was showing as 'Currently Unavailable' but after a few page refreshes, it is now saying in red font under the price:

This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location.

But the seller is Amazon AU? What the? (The delivery location is my Australian address. I don't have a foreign address nor a foreign Amazon account.)

      • I updated the deal link around 15 minutes ago to force Amazon to show you the Amazon AU listing.

I suspect the reason you are seeing the red text is that Amazon has decided to stop shipping a lot of items (especially grocery items) shipped from and sold by Amazon AU to many regional, rural and remote areas across Australia. This started around May 2024, but these delivery restrictions do not apply to all items shipped from and sold by Amazon AU.

My frustration with these restrictions are two-fold:

        1. Amazon AU is extremely vague about this.

        2. Amazon AU's postcode restrictions for these kinds of items sometimes make no sense, as it seems as though someone at Amazon was throwing darts at maps to determine which postcodes to exclude. For example, consider Hobart (and surprisingly most parts of Hobart can have this item delivered to it, even though you could argue Hobart is regional). I can get this delivered to Cambridge (7170) and Sorell (7172), but not Midway Point (7171). If you want to drive from Cambridge (which is next to Hobart Airport) to Sorell, the fastest and most direct route is via Midway Point. AFAIK, Aramex and Australia Post usually handle Amazon AU deliveries in Hobart, and their depots are west of Hobart Airport. I cannot understand the logic for excluding Midway Point, but that is Amazon for you!

The short version is that they're slowly labelling everyone outside of NSW as regional.

  • Are they price match supermarket?

    • Yep purchased from either Coles or woolies yesterday, have a feeling it was Coles. Edit: it is Coles.

    Underrated flavour for sure

I would be very careful ordering drinks that are on special or discounted from Amazon. The last few orders I've made the used by date was close to expiry and the drinks were flat. In contrast drinks bought from Coles/Woolies the expiry date was almost a year longer than Amazon and drinks were crisp and lots of bubbles. Unsure about milk drinks like this, but I would be cautious. I imagine the used by date is rather close hence trying to clear stock on special.

They're price matching Coles. Items that are close to use by date are typically moved to Amazon Resale. Not for general sale.

  • Check the used by date then, anything 5< months from used by date is not fresh stock. If It's pretty close to use by date within 5 months range, then it's probably stale and has been sitting on a shelf for a while.

I would also suggest to be cautious about buying milk based products from amazon too. Their stock does not sit on a shelf, they sit in large warehouses that are not temperature controlled. Also on the last mile delivery journey the goods sit in a van or car that is in the sun the whole day. From experience of ordering them Califa Oat milk products.

  • There was heaps of these at my Coles recently for $1.50 quick sale but passed on banana

  • Ingredients:

Filtered Water, Skim Milk Powder, Maltodextrin (Wheat, Corn), Cane Sugar, Vegetable Fibre, Vegetable Oils (Sunflower, Canola), Soy Protein, Fructose, Oat Flour, Mineral (Calcium), Flavour, Acidity Regulator (332), Vegetable Gums (460, 466, 407), Stabiliser (452), Salt, Vitamins (C, Niacin, A, B12, B6, B2, B1, Folate). + Protein And High Fibre + Low Gi^ + High In Calcium + 10 Essential Vitamins And Minerals + No Artificial Colours

    Yum !!

    • No idea why they add so much sugar to the protein version, they lose the gym crowd.
Be like 150calories for 17g protein if without the junk.

      • These are marketed towards children and people on the go who need a sugar/energy hit.

They market the drink as healthy but's probably close to a bottle of coke/pepsi or similar soft drink.

People tend to think milk = healthy, but not in this case and many other milk-based drinks like these. You're better off going for Sustagen Dutch Chocolate. Used to buy the 6 pack but haven't seen them lately in stores. Sometimes they have tins of it on special. I haven't checked in awhile though.

      Unfortunately not gluten free.

  • Coles has all the flavours at the same price and in stock for those that have a Coles nearby.
