150
APBF25

Must use Afterpay and have eBay+ to discount 25%. 20% off available without Afterpay. Plenty of deals using same code and one of the best prices I've seen for the 5600X in a while. Not exactly sure on finish date but its a Black Friday deal so don't expect it to last long. Futu is very reputable and associated with shoppingexpress. Shipping is free to Australia.

    recent deals
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/643518 $347
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/655297 $364.56

was actually way cheaper before. Looks like Futu jacked the price from $499 to $529, the price was already bad prior to price jack but now it's even more outrageous.

    • I've been looking out for like a ~350 deal recently but those deals were also when the default price was closer to ~399-429. Lately it's been sitting at 439-449 most places. Which is annoying. My 2600 needs to be retired. Don't think it's just Futu, it's kind of gone up most places.

I think the price increase is due to AMD turning off production for the 5000 series and taping out the newer 6000 series with 3d stacked cached. There were rumours 2 months ago that mass production already begun.

you should probably wait because we're literally just a few months away from a new AM4 refresh.

        • I'm on B450 with no intention to update the motherboard. Just wanted a CPU update for better IPC. I don't expect to move past the 5000 series for a number of years.

But as you said might be good to wait for those who start selling off their 5000 series on ebay and land a sweet used deal once the new series arrives.

at this price better to get a 5800x for $486

Damn. That's not a bad deal… 5800x runs hotter though. I'm in an ITX enclosure with a 92mm cooler (Noctua U9S Black), so the 6 core was enough.. But.. This is extremely tempting. I reckon it'd be fine.

i too am on the same boat - have a 2600x that needs replacing but i don't know if i want to pay extra for a 5800x/5900x because i definitely don't want to compromise for a 5600g.

also running a b450m with a hyper 212 so rip temperatures.

    • Yeah its not the best I've seen but its the best available at the moment. The same code is being used for many products on Futu so there are probably some deals that are better value on other products, but personally I was in the market for a CPU.

  • normal price

it's the best price available right now though. i was hoping for around the $360 mark again too, but bit the bullet at 396.75 and put it on the 28D card so i got the buyers protection for if/when it does drop to that price point again

  • Thanks OP, but this still makes me sad :(
AMD rocking a monopoly for now so pricing is what it is.

  • Considering 5600g at this rate …

    • I bought 5600g for $315 with afterpay from this store :)

Thanks OP, this is the best price currently (over the last few weeks). Pulled the trigger as the blue screens on my i5 6500 are starting to get regular

Every single ebay store that sold the 5950x and was compatible with the "APBF25" code jacked up the price :(

Thanks OP, got a 5600X. I got tired of not seeing any better deals so settled for this one. Knowing my luck it will be $350 somewhere tomorrow.

At this price id rather pay the extra $244~ and buy the 5900X :(

    • That's what I did. Hopefully mining covers a bit..

  • if someone looking for hard drive…. 8TB NAS Ironwolf looks good at $258

  • This or the $669 deal for Intel i5-12600KF LGA 1700 CPU & Gigabyte Z690M AORUS ELITE DDR4 on SE?

  • futu are notorious for price jacking. ***** them!
