3D Printing Filaments Zortrax Z-ABS and Z-ULTRAT 1.75mm up to 75% off + Delivery ($0 VIC C&C) @ Thinglab

If you own a 3D printer with a heated bed and a high(er) temp extruder (260-285 deg), these materials produce a superior quality part. Especially the Z-Ultrat low shrinkage ABS.
I have tried dozens of materials over the years (I am a product design engineer) and I have basically settled on using Z-Ultrat exclusively. It's usually frightfully expensive $70-90.
At $22.50 basically theft. The same you'd pay for poor tolerance Chinese filament you wouldn't make a door stop with.

I print with cheap chineese ABS everyday, half of my Voron 2.4 is made of them too lol
But… If you say it's really good I'll give it a go and see the difference, cheers!

Some cheap filament is really good but QC is…inconsistent. Fine for home use however 3D printing troubleshooting is time consuming. Clogs, under-extrusion, moisture in the filament etc. These things you want to avoid when your paying engineering staff $$$/hr.

      • Totally agree :)

  • Sorry for my ignorance but what's Z-Ultrat, proprietary material?

  • I couldn't see any specs on the filament to say the temp. You mention 260-285degrees. Is this from your experience? I have been wanting to get into ABS. My printer is ABS compatible but max temp is 250 I think. This may not work then?
