    Price in title

    • +1

      Added, apologies for that :)

  • +1

I think it's meant to be 2 x 8GB sticks for the RAM.

    • +1

If not, that's a hell of a corner to cut. Basically the real price for people who don't feel comfortable upgrading the RAM themselves would be $1639 with the 32GB upgrade.

Says 1x 8GB on the website too… But title says 16GB, so I'm inclined to think it's 16

      • +2

says 2x8gb sticks in specifications, must be a typo

        • +1

Oh I see now, looked extra weird on mobile, and listing it as '2 x 1 x 8', while mathematically sound, is a strange way to do it

    • +1

      Yes, you are correct :)

  • tell us the price son !

    • $1600

    • Its $1599 XD

      • +2

On the wesbite, it states that GPU brand may vary. So are we guaranteed to get EVGA model listed here or will it vary?

  • Hi, will you guys have a 3080ti black friday deal?

    • Hi v SerenX,

Due to the supply shortage, we are not likely to have the BF 3080Ti deal.

      Regards,
      BPC Team

    • +2

the 3080 deal is pretty killer

      • you mean techfast killer?

        • I guess. Just bought a 3060ti deal on the weekend for not much less fml

      • +3

If I were budgetpc I would of posted the 3080 build separately. I've specced this out with the i7, 32GB, added 2tb drive and wifi card and it's still only $3181, however to buy the components with build cost etc is $3933.30. I've also tried to use the cheapest RAM options and Power supply.

        • Cheers :)

  • +1

I would vote for the Dell deal over this one

    • +14

Umm no? That Dell uses absolute dogshit components including a proprietary motherboard, and will have abysmal thermal performance, and no room for upgrades

      • +1

From performance perspective, Dell XPS is definitely a winner. XPS has Windows included, i7 vs i5, better CPU cooler, extra storage, WiFi + Blutetooth and more.

        • +3

That dell will have the stock cooler, only the K CPU models have a decent cooler. Airflow in the dells is poor with some hacking required if you want to improve it.

I'm not a dell hater at the right price, I owned one of these XPS for a bit and it worked fine, but if I was going to upgrade again I'd get a machine with more ability to customise and reuse components, like this one. I'm actually tempted even though I've upgraded twice this year and downgraded again when I realised I'm only playing older games which don't need this much power.

          • +1

            @daffyd: 11th gen i7 vs 10th gen i5

            plus you get:

            win10/11+wifi+bluetooth+card reader+DVD

I will vote for dell too in this case.

      • You are right, but they sell a lot, many people still willing to waste their cash buying dog shits!

    • i have tried contacting Dell about that PC and got cut off 4 times while on hold.Thought IF i could get the cooler upgraded then i would get that one.
Have found out today that this BPC deal does have wifi included and while windows 10 isnt activated its still on the pc so you can find a few places online to get you windows 10 free.Other issue is going the Dell i may not get it till early Jan and thats not great for me.Bonus of having BPC 10mins from my house is i can pick it up in 10 working days lol

  • +3

i checked the other day and australia post shipping wasnt available anymore; only fastway. dealbreaker. not sure why you removed it?

    • -1

Ozpost is currently very delayed especially in Sydney and Melbourne. So Fastway might be quicker.

    • I purchased the 3080 deal and selected the fastway option at checkout. Just received my shipping notification and they have used Australia post instead. Not sure if this is just because I'm in WA or they have changed the process.

    • Hi Belongsinforums,

For orders over $1500AUD, we generally select Auspost as the courier.

Because Fastway insurance only covers up to $1500.

      Regards,
      BPC Team

  • Hi, will you have a 3070 deal for black friday?

    • Yes, we will :)

Bonus Gift and Free shipping will be applying for an existing 3070 system on BF.

  • Australia post shipping is currently crap, so I think you'll probably get it faster with smaller companies like Fastway.

  • Since the GFX card is selling like hot cakes for

almost the price of that deal i cannot understand why ppl dont bye the premade systems and sell the rest.. nuts really

    • +1

I always wonder how much you can get by selling the rest… Do they provide you the original box for the parts or do they just ship the whole PC?

  • +4

The 3080 deal is outstanding value imo

    • +2

Yea considering the other parts too it's excellent value!

    • :)

  • Hi i was just wondering what model i would get if i were to upgrade to the 3 fan version

    • Hi Jaskiiez,

Let me talk to the sales team and see if we have three fan models in stock for custom PC.

      Regards,
      BPC Team

  • Could I pick one up Saturday morning?

    • Hi Darknebula,

As we build to order, if you order today or tmr, the build is more likely to be ready by next Wednesday.

  • +2

Can anyone comment as to whether I'd be able to install a PCIe Wifi card into this system?

  • Are there any upgrades that are worth the price for this?

    • Consider upgrading the ssd and psu if possible

      • Dell one is much better prebuild deal with only $100 extra and you get i7-11700 cpu, at the expense of fancy glass case.

i5-10400 is even worse than 3600 ryzen.

  • Good deal for a RTX 3060 TI. This card currently costs 1,200 at online retailers if available. Some data re RTX availability and prices here: https://thors-stuff.com/gpu-price-availability-20112021/

    • GPU price might go up till late 2022, and stabilize in 2023, now is a good time to score a prebuild deal.

      • thanks. ouch re 'late 2022'. that's a long wait. cheers.

  • How much of a difference would having an in processor make in a similar setup?

    Cost vs. extra performance …

  • If we buy extra ram sticks will you guys be able to install them?

    • +1

Should be able to slap them in yourself in a few seconds, I grabbed the 3080 deal and bought the matching ram sticks to upgrade to 32GB from Scorptec for $79 :)

  • what do people think of 10400f vs 3600 for gaming?

  • Cancel Dell XPS 8940 3060 ti and get this one?

    • If you want to mod your pc in any way, yes.

      • Would there be much difference CPU-wise between the 10400 that this one has vs. the 11700 in the Dell?

        • The 11700 blows the 10400 out of the water.

However you need to somehow cool the Dell prebuilt with a proper cpu cooler to achieve proper performance.

          • @POSITIVEVIBESONLY: True

I think there's some compatible cpu coolers that fit into the proprietary motherboard. Tbh i'm much more concerned about the Power Supply as I heard it's only 500 watt.

          • @POSITIVEVIBESONLY: Huh, I thought the xps 8940 w/ 11700s shipped with a fairly decent cooler instead of the stock intel coolers.

Wait, no - that's the K series units. Yeah it might be a little iffy, but should be fine with moar case fans if it's not OCable.

            • @Synticulous: 11700s don't come with a stock intel cooler. Dell provides a giant chunk of metal strapped with a fan, pretty much you need to buy a cpu cooler to replace before using it.

  • Hi I was wondering if it came with a built in wifi module or is there an option to add it on in the build. Sorry I am new to PC's @budgetpc

    • I believe the motherboard that comes with this is WiFi-capable

    • Hi Barginboy101,

Yes, the Mobo comes with built-in wifi :)

      Regards,
      BPC Team

  • Hi, approx assembly+ delivery time to Syd through fastway?

    • +1

      Hi Phil458,

We expect 3-5 business days for build and 5-15 business days for delivery.

      Regards,
      BPC Team

  • Newbie here so my apologies as buying this for my son.

Any upgrade suggestions to the RTX 3060 Ti, was thinking the following however have limited knowledge:

    • SSD to 1TB
    • HDD - 2TB, is this required?
    • Assuming I need a wifi adapter given I can't run cable to his room.

Are there better deals out there for around $1,750?

    Thanks in advance

    • SSD upgrade, sure.

      Wifi is built into motherboard.

HDD, perhaps if nobody is confident to add storage down the track (very easy relative to most upgrades). These days for many uses its viable to just add more SSDs at a not-crazy price.

This is a great deal, think it's as good as it gets at this price point today.

  • Many thanks @daffyd, would it be fine without HDD?

    • +1

It will be fine without but depending on your son's level of patience for adding/removing software and how many big games he plays at once (or creating video, etc.), more storage may be needed at some point.

I personally would add more storage as needed (and use SSDs) but it does depend on your or your son's comfort level in adding drives.

      • Sorry @daffyd, do you mean increase the storage with more SSD, i.e. more than 1TB and not use HDD, say 2TB? How much SSD can you add?

        • +1

Yes, can get additional SSDs just like a HDD, if needed.

Decent 1tb on sale roughly $120-130.
2Tb a quick google has crucial mx500 (an aging basic but solid model) around $235 on Amazon, just as one example (I haven't done much research here)

You should be able to add a few more drives as needed

  • Awesome, thanks again @daffyd. Ordered!!

  • Purchased.
