It’s a good price and these Max ones are better than the normal Energiser alkaline, longer lasting.
These are not eneloops
Is that you Sherlock?
They aren't even rechargeable.. but you should consider rechargeable for things like game controllers and other items.
If not for the environment it works out much, much cheaper.
but you have to go through the hassle of charging them. then you have to search the whole house to find the charger. then you find the charger, but forgot where you temporarly put down the batteries to find the charger. now your pissed and finally find the batteries. now you have to wait for them to be charged. then a few days later you remember u were charging batteries. then use the batteries.
rinse and repeat the same nightmare every few weeks. i will save the stress and just buy these. battery dead, throw away, put in new battery fully charged and ready instantly.
Thanks. This is a pretty good price.
Should note you need to enable a “subscription” to these products to get the listed price, otherwise 10% more
To clarify, you can cancel after the first one, so don't be worried about being locked into a contract or anything. They even have a reason saying "just wanted the s&s price" or something for it in the cancellation.
If you click on the One-time purchase "button", you can buy as a one-off for the same price. It defaults to highlighting the Subscribe & Save option.
Did these go for $10 last year or same price?
10 on prime day
damn, it was that price earlier this year too. Dont need batteries yet, i may just wait.
How do these compare to the Varta batteries from Bunnings which are sub $10 for a 30 pack?
I always get Varta from Bunnings. Cheap and good quality. Made in Germany, from memory.
:o I didnt know memory could hold a charge..
Been using Varta for over 10 years and recently in the past 3 years have started using Energizer due to online deals and they seem to last twice as long and sometimes years go by without changing batteries in remotes. So if you only use Varta and don't know any better, they are decent but damn, Energizer is worth the extra dollars. The hassle of changing batteries = wasted life minutes.
Thanks! I ended up googling reviews and for battery life these edged out the vartas in testing (5 star vs 4) so you’re probably spot on. We’ve only used varta batteries for years but at this price I’ll grab some energizers!
I used to use Varta but found they do not maintain their charge in storage for very long. I now exclusively use rechargeables.
~^ I'm still overflowing from last year .
I’m not overflowing but have a good supply from 2 years back ^^
Landfill, don't do it.
How are these compared to ikea batteries
Didn't even know I needed batteries but bought them anyway. Can't wait to buy devices to use with my shiny new batteries!
that is the ozbargains way
Rechargable AA batteries are now $1.50 each at IKEA. There is 0 reason to pollute the earth AND waste money on disposable batteries anymore. Only have to throw away 3 and you've bought your rechargables.
PLUS.. alkaline dispoable batteries will ALWAYS leak eventually, some are better and only leak after 2 years running flat or 10 years if not flat BUT.. they will still always leak. NiMH rechargable batteries do not leak and destroy your toys. You only have to destroy one toy or device to make paying for even more expensive rechargables worth it.
Ditch the dispoables and go rechargable!
NOTE: Just in case anyone is worried, normal AA rechargables are NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) and are not Lithium based and have no issues with regards to fires/overcharge/overdischarge, etc.
there's also the cost to buy the recharger?
Thats true but they have a 2 battery USB charger for $4, a 4 battery charger for $12 or the nicest 8 battery charger model for $25
Ladda or once a while Eneloop pro on sales get those.
You do need to invest a quality charger long term wise better than these….
Buy rechargeable instead!
comes out to be about $0.42 a piece with S&S, which are the same price everyday at costco for the kirkland batteries that are awesome.
Check the use by date on these, they will most likely leak acid before you get to use them.
Holds power up to 10 years in storage—so you’re never left powerless
^^ Would mean they would have been made in 2012 or later.
honest question - how do we be environmental friendly with these
can they be recycled?
im very tempted to buy these ones but it does worry me each time they run out of juice and i have to bin them
end up getting rechargeable ones but those are very expensive (4 for $20 in woolies?)
I save all my used batteries in a jar and recycle them at Bunnings.
I've been using rechargeables for 40 years. Absolutely stupid to buy alkalines, with respect.

I have them on my desk with a charger, they slow charge overnight and haven't bought alkalines ever (except for smoke alarms)
why smoke alarm only?
Received mine but the box was torn and the batteries were all misplaced inside. The cuts on packaging edges are not smooth. Not sure if it’s fake.
Return it see what they say. China stuff its quite Yumcha depends on supplier
Received mine not like that at all. Maybe you got a dud pack?
A lot of people left reviews saying they received damaged packaging on Amazon. Probably why it was reduced.
I don't know if this is a good deal, but I need batteries and the Super cheap auto ones don't seem to last very long, so I got one of each, thanks op
