  Just for comparisons sake, you could grab a Crucial P2 2TB for $205.86 and an external nvme like Orico M2PV-C3 for $31.19 (total $237) and you would get more than double the speeds @ 2400MB/s.

      Arguably you're right compared to the alternatives. That said you might want to take a look at this, it's not just write speed, it's completely across the board. However UBM isn't exactly always the most reputable source and its spec's don't even seem to line up with the advertised speeds so take that as you will…
