  • People still buy Norton? I would not take it for free; there are plenty of decent free and paid alternatives out there.

sounds like a good deal, I am assuming the $100 cashback comes from Norton so will be interesting to see if anyone else has it cheaper.

    • They say its only Harvey Norman, Domanyne or Joyce Mayne - so full RRP… You can get Norton for about $15-$30 online

A supercar doesn't seem like a great fit for Norton. Maybe a bulldozer or double-decker bus would be appropriate, notwithstanding claims the software has shed a bit of its notorious bloat in recent years.

Unfortunately piece of mind is inversely proportional to the product's price.

Was using Norton for a while back then, its not as slow as it once was…but its still a resource hog and will add alot to boot times. If I was to pay for an anti virus, my money would go to McAfee since it taxes less from your cpu, otherwise AVG is as good as any other AV out there whether it's paid or not paid….or endorsed by Jackie Chan.

Plus getting a virus is not because of a weak antivius… 90% of the time its caused by users looking for serial keys and whatnot…

    • I know, Norton was bad few years back.
I have got both McAfee ( came free with Dell) and Norton on my laptops. I find Norton better than McAfee in terms of speed and usability. That said, its my personal thinking.

I got one for $115 from Harvey Norman, so the final price is around $15. Not too bad for 5 PCs

    • Great price, which HN please?

    • can you plz upload the receipt or let us know which HN did you get..

    • Wow. that sounds almost free taking into account the 8GB drive.

    • I went to HN today and asked for a price match or price reduction..they were not interested at all saying that they have the best offer in the mkt as compared to TGG, JB or Big W..so just bought the $149 one and claimed back $100..still not bad deal as compared to last year where it was $30 back from $120 !!

  • I rec'd my $100 chq today.
