Thanks, i do want it record while parking
i seem to get alot of problems with dashcams where my car sits in the sun and looks like it cooks the camera over a period of time. i've bought gators in the past and only after 1 summer, it starts to malfunction. does anyone know if these survive the harsh 40 degree heats?
I don't have an answer to your question. I did find this interesting and relevant for your question:

Had my A119 in a car in the Brisbane sun for a good 3 years or so. No issues.
For those looking to buy this, you may want to check at midnight. Price might be dropping.
As in it might be cheaper at midnight?
The midnight price may be less than the daylight price, but let's check at 12am
Time has been changed to 0925 tomorrow.
@Taegukgi: Any changes to the price yet?
@sintro: I see nothing. The 4k version has gone off sale now though (it was on sale last night).
@Taegukgi: I dont see any price movement? Any idea?
@Taegukgi: Still $236.90 as of 9:45am on 23.11.21
Edit: 20% applied at checkout… silly me
@Taegukgi: Any more news on a further deal for this exact model? A129 Plus Duo.

What microSD is everyone running on these? Looking at using the Sandisk 128GB High Endurance.
Endurance card options (not in strict order):
1. Samsung Pro Endurance
2. Sandisk High Endurance
3. VIOFO
4. Sandisk Max Endurance
5. WD Purple Surveillance
6. Transcend High Endurance
7. Other dashcam brands' cards
Prices vary between them as do specifications and lifetime ratings. For example: Samsung Pro Endurance has better endurance claims than Sandisk High Endurance, its closer to Sandisk Max Endurance.
Is Sandisk High better than Sandisk Max? Or is that a typo?
I bought the High version to save money
What SD memory card do you use for this?

Something like this..?
I'm thinking about that one too
* it's U3 so should be fast enough for dual cams
* it's large and high endurance so it shouldn't wear out quickly
This or the plus duo IR for $199?
Do you need a cabin camera?
Ah, so one comes with a cabin and one comes with a rear?
Yes, IR is infra-red cabin camera.
Anyone recommend any particular installers that can help hard wire dashcams. I'm in adelaide. Getting a new car so want someone that knows what they are doing. Roughly how much does it cost to have it done? TIA
Googling, Airtasker says $100 to $160. So a "professional" would be a little more, I'm guessing ~$200
$177.37 right now
microsd card and hardwire kit would be a good idea if you want to use one of the parking modes.
@lomie (above) mentioned a couple of other things for self install.
