Got a good discount off with this code.

The lurid red one with 128Gb storage is the one I picked for best bang for buck. The hardwire kit is required for some of the features.

This is an unusual dashcam. It is only 1080p, but it can kind of cover 360 degrees by swivelling the camera around to where something happens. It does hang down rather than tuck away so consider if you can handle a red lump in your view.

If you want the cam to have 4G (to give you notices of activity remotely) you need this hard wire kit and a sim:

Worth watching YouTube to understand it. This one is ok:

  • Is it still using Li-ion battery inside?

      Click through the specs mate.
      300mAh. Not hard.

      • That doesn't answer the question though. Is it Li-Ion? If its not LiFePo4 I'm not leaving it in a sunbaked car.

  • The reason I went for the 128GB version is because the memory is built in, I assume it’s not replaceable, so larger storage will hopefully last longer due to lower number of writes.

Also a negative is it doesn’t have a super capacitor which apparently means a dash cam can withstand the heat better.

  • Does this AU version support 4G connectivity?

  • +3

    Looks like a kinder surprise

  • Not sure why you would get this over viofo at this price range?

    • Yes I got a VIOFO with external rear cam for another vehicle. It’s a conventional one with better specs.

The thing this has is the 360 ability. Kind of poor man’s Tesla sentry mode.
