  • Works well with Home Assistant, I have a few in my house. However they are bulky and I am not able to use the plug next to it usually.

    • What do you use these for usually?

      • I use smart plugs for controlling lighting, heater, fan.
It offers you a scheduler. So you can schedule - turn on office heater at 8am. By the time you're in home office, it's already warmed up. Or turn on rice cooker at 11:30am for lunch (provided there's rice and water in cooker :p)

I'm running lots of extensions in my house, and this helps me in turning on/off stuff without getting up.

    • It would have been nice if they had offset the main part to the left or right to accomodate this problem, I have two of them and the way they block the other plug is a pain.

    • Does HA local integration work well? Or do you use their cloud service?

  • anyone know if they work just as well as the tp link ones?

    • I've got both, they both work well. I would recommend sticking to one so you can run them all off one app. If you use Alexa/Google then it makes no difference really. I like that the Meros ones have a power meter built-in and my TP link don't, but that's probably down to the model.

      • ah good point! thank you

  • will this block the second powerpoint if i plug in to the double powerpoint?

  • Can you use on washing machine/dryer to find out when finished? Or is it not rated for that high of a load?

    • Interesting, never thought about that. Yes you could, but don't know if you can program a ITTT event based on load. You might be able to! I have mine connected to some servers pulling 2Kw and they are fine. Not sure what a washing machine will draw but I can't imagine that being a problem.

  • Too bad this is not a ZigBee model that I can connect to Hubitat

  • There's a 2 pack for $29.44 if you don't need HomeKit support

  • Got one of these yesterday. Wanted to make the Christmas tree lights 'smart'.

Setup is nice and simple. On iOS, HomeKit takes care of most of the setup for you as well which is nice.

Would recommend downloading the Meross app and doing a firmware update on the switch immediately. Newer firmware apparently has eliminated disconnection problems that others have experienced with this gear.

  • Are there any other models/brand that are small and only cover only one plug area?

  • Do they work with Home assistant?
