About the same price as all the big overseas stores. Ribble comes out the cheapest at about $45.

In saying that though I don't usually buy them unless they are under $40.

Yes, we're trying to be a competitive as we can with the big overseas stores.

They still cheaper with shipping? We're offering free shipping on your order.

      • Good on you for trying to beat UK bike shops. It would be good to see Aussie shops selling more bike stuff at competitive prices.

Chain Reaction Cycles sell for $47 each, and free shipping over $80 (rather than GBP250 for Ribble free shipping), if you can bump your spend up to $250 worth, you can get an extra 10% off code: 'ATEN' and that brings them down to about $84 for 2 delivered (or $42 each). http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=18796

BTW - for others comparing Wiggle, they're not as cheap as they used to be. CRC seems to be the cheapest option most of the time for me.

        • So just to make it clear - to get the two tyres for $84 you will need to purchase another $166 worth of products.

CRC are only .36c cheaper than us :)

        • IMO, Ribble are usually cheapest ATM

        • To the 99BikesWebstore Rep :

Your example about needing to purchase another $166 to get free shipping from CRC isn't correct. Their threshold is GBP250 not AUD250 :)

    • And to be fair, I think it's the case that Ribble will charge approx $53.22 to deliver this single tyre to Australia. Comparing the price without delivery to a delivered price is not really helpful for a legitimate comparison.

  • For $101.85 you can get a pair of these with tubes, delivered from Wiggle.

This is a good price if you are a local supplier though.

Are you able to link to the products? I'll see if we can do a similar deal :)

Our goal is to be a cheaper, quicker and easier than ordering from the big overseas stores.

      • This will be what he is referring to. The total is above $85 which is the threshold for Wiggle to ship free to Australia.

It would have been nice for him to also link to the single tyre on its own (the equivalent of your offer) which is more expensive than yours and does not have free shipping.

Our everyday price for the 2x tyres and 2x tubes is $112.

I'm sure we could create a package for $99 if people are interested?

        • +1

Yep that's the one. I had two tires on the brain as I only just ordered some a few weeks back!

For a single tire this is a good deal. I'll bookmark the OPs site for sure.

Good on you for trying. It's not easy to be a retailer these days…

        • especially in Aus. fwiw, I think I'd happily pay the extra few $ to get it from you guys. My lbs was charging $70 or $80 for these a few months back.

In saying that though I've just stocked up for this year :(

        • +4

Thanks. The hardest part is getting customers to think Australian before going overseas.
..and that's hard because most Australian retailers are very behind the times.

We're trying to change that :)

Great to see an Australian online retailer. As good as the big UK guys are, I'll definitely bookmark and look you guys up first.

+1 I try to support local retailers who can match or come close to OS (usually CE & Cell, but I have made purchases from 99Bikes)
