I got the creative live! cam v2 on the last deal here to replace my Logitech c270 (wanted 1080p).
So far, so good, 1/4 of the price of this deal.1/4 the resolution of this Brio
plus Windows Hello (infrared face scan login, kinda like apple id)
I changed from a c930 to the Brio and realised that resolution really doesn't matter when the focus is terrible. From that perspect I have found the Brio to be terrible. I'll be purchasing something else soon. Maybe the new Dell one.
I have the c270 and it's pretty average. Do you get better light metering on the live cam v2?
I have the same issue with C615. Using it on a Mac, low light performance is horrible
its also a rubbish camera you should have got a C922 way better camera
Wasn’t impress with the Creative Live camera. Not worth its price.
if you stream like me or create alot of youtube content this webcam is the best you will get even compared to the new elgato webcam which is 300 bucks and doesnt' have all the features and image quality of the brio 4k.
Are you referring to this model or the Brio Pro?
that is an Amazing price for that webcam
I think it won’t go lower than this - at least this year.
Thinking to pull the trigger lol2019 I paid 250 for it and that was the cheapest it was back then, the fact that its under 250 is just amazing.
My issue is its Amazon UK and Australia post and couriers are already under preasure not keeping up. You might not see this till next month lol
Yeah, probably mid December lol
Do you use it with MS teams? Or just streaming and YT videos.I’m currently using ausdom cam which is okay, but thinking to upgrade.
Picked one up. Thanks!
Had one of these on loan and ended up buying a Dell Ultrasharp WB7022 to replace it - the focus and low light performance is significantly better on the Dell when I was using it on MS Teams and recordings for teaching. They can be had for about $272.88 on the Dell AU site at the moment, well worth the cost bump in comparison compared to the Brio if you are looking for a decent 4K webcam.
Only real downsides in comparison to the Brio is that the Dell does not come with a microphone so an external mic of some type is a requirement and its a larger / heavier unit compared to the Logitech.no mic is a big downside when you're paying more than this.
I'd debate that point as most people looking for high end webcams are likely going to be already using or planning on using a better external microphone anyway. Its kind of like people complaining about the terrible inbuilt sound on some high end TV's - most people dropping $8k+ on a TV are going to be using an external surround sound setup or high end soundbar. Why bother spending money to include something that the majority of your customers are not going to use anyway?
I've noticed each region calls this something different and with different part numbers.
I've seen Brio Stream Edition, 4K, 4K Pro, Ultra HD…
Is there any functional difference between all the models?
Made a decision and picked up one.
Cheers OP !anyone know how to get one of the magnetic bases for these webcams? Such as this one? https://www.apple.com/au/shop/product/HMUC2ZM/A/logitech-4k-…
can I get a tax invoice from amazon?
How would you guys compare this to the Avermedia PW513? I was looking at that as well (do you expect that to ever get to this price or is this deal too good to pass up?). This would be my first webcam and wanted something decent all-around that I can start with. I also want to maybe try and get into streaming at some point, so was wondering which one would be best as a starting point? I'd also be using the web cam's built it microphone to start with, so not sure which of the two has the better mic?
What you should instead be doing with the same money:

wish I was that important to justify a $200 web cam…..
but for windows hello this seems to be the best option..
