  • "2 Pack 1200mAh Battery"
Are they eneloop? Asking for a friend.
Otherwise some very good reviews. Here is a +1

  • Anyone with experience can comment on this vs the kmart $32 one:

  • I've never really understood why people pay extra for the pet grooming ones over the human ones, they are exactly the same just one is branded pet grooming. My neighbour recently got a set from shavershop, I told her to buy a cheap human set and the salesperson said 'oh you really do need to get pet ones' there was a $70 difference, when I looked at them they were exactly the same as a previous set I had there's nothing 'pet' about them

    • Yes good point and what happens when the batteries no longer hold charge, can you buy replacement batteries?
I'd rather get a mains powered model, it would be more powerfull too.

This doesn't appear to be a bargain anyway. The best selling model on Amazon is only $22.99 but doesn't have a 2nd battery.

Human clipper can't be used on dog. I have tried before. Dog hairs are much finer and thicker than human. My dog is similar type of Maltese. Bought $300 Andis Pro clipper 12 years ago and still running like a charm. Worth every cent. Considering I have to clip him every 2 months over 12 years. The only down is wired. Cordless can be handy but I spend 2 hours each session. If you only need a casual grooming then cordless is good enough but not for my case.

      • Finer and thicker? I'm struggling to get my head around that one.

        • finer = hair diameter. thicker = number of hairs per m2

      • so they must just use a different set of blades as the rest is the same, have tested my clippers on a spaniel and worked fine

  • +2

Tried a human walh plug-in clipper made in USA (though it was 1 of the cheaper model) > it was a nightmare grooming my dog.
Bit the bullet to get andis ultraedge super 2 speed clipper and happy as Larry
Cost the same as 3 visits to the groomer

  • Good luck with this, my Border Collie will chew my fingers off if I even tried. :(
