Have any similar but with polarised

  • Hi I'm interested in the matte black/black iridium polarized.
There is no note saying I can't use discount code for these.
But when I apply code in cart it says discount does not apply?
Can you fix this please OP ???

    • +1

      Only polished black/black iridium

      • Ok, so where in the OP's post does it state that?
I did not see that on the website either.

        • Er "50% off on Oakley Crankshaft™ Polished Black/Black Iridium sport"
it's right there in the post 🤷🏼‍♂️

            Yep, you got me there!
I was too keen on polarised.

@Nom: And I can confirm that, when this ad was originally posted, that detail was not in the description. The post was subsequently edited and that detail was added.

        • +1

Sheesh, you got negged by a bunch of users that don't know how to check the revisions. You were right that the original post didn't have that detail.

@Chickenleg: and not only that, the sunglasses photo being used in this post is actually of the matte black version he is interested in too

@Chickenleg: Thank you for the support 🙂

Purchased a pair in case I decide to become a speed dealer in Miami.

  • Spewin - I prefer the matte black/dark bronze, oh well!

  • +2

Purchased, just incase I want to be a highway patrol cop

  • Can they be used for bike riding?

    • +11

No. Because they make you so good looking all the women are throwing themselves at you increasing the likelihood of an accident.

      • +2

        can confirm.

  • Which polarised ones good for driving?

    • Any polarised glasses will improve driving visibility, primarily by reducing atmospheric haze but also reducing glass reflections so you can see the drivers better. Colours will look richer and more saturated. Get wider lenses so you don't blindspot yourself with the frames.

  • everytime i add it says cart empty

    • yea same here, pretty sure it's OOS :(

      • Just worked for me?

Oakley sunglasses are rubbish in my opinion. $200+ for something of equal quality as speedys from the servo. I bought some a while back and the lenses started putting and peeling in about 2 years, my ray bans and cheaper Polaroids have all outlasted them by a factor of 10. Even the spec savers polarized prescription lenses are better quality.
    10/10 would never consider these.

I must agree on the lens peeling. It's happened to 3npf my oakley pairs. Seems to be a defect on the coating on the lens.

    • I agree with this comment. I like Oakleys and have had many pairs over the years, as has my partner. The peeling is consistent across all the models after a few years of use (never within 2 years). The frames are all high quality, though, both metal and plastic. I’ve been extending the life of mine by getting replacement lenses from Sunglasses Fix. Great fix for $40.

      • Me as well mine have peeled

    • +1

Have owned a few and no matter how much you baby the lens, it'll start peeling after a few years. Disappointing given the price.

      • -3

Have you tried wrapping them in glad wrap? I normally cover them and my head in gladwrap to stop peeling

It hasn't seem to caught on yet to the fashion world but I'm hoping it's only a matter.of.time

        • and people thought Kingswood Country was silly when Ted glad-wrapped the number plate.

    • the sublime optics replacement lenses have been great imho, i've got a few pairs of oakleys and replaced all the lenses in them a few years back, they've been great.

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/132965797534 is where i got them from (not affiliated, just a happy customer)

most of the frames i've got are now about 10 years old, so the build quality on the frames seems fine, but yea my lenses peeled a while back, at the time i thought it was because i wore them in the ocean and got salt water on them but interesting to hear how many others have had the same issue.

    • Agree with the peeling. Got 5 and they all peel. I got Raybans bec of that but the quality of lens is crap. Oakley still have the best optics esp the prizm ones.

An absolute must for any officer on the force.

    • +1

Need custom mirroring on the inside of the lenses though.

    • Or teenage male from early 2000's.

  • These go great with long boardshorts and skate shoes
