    • +1

      That's $3.98

I think the brand is Click

    • Bunnings were also selling a 4m extension and 6 plug powerboard combo by click for $7 when I was in store last week.

      • do you have a link/photo/code?

        • here

I looked up but didn't find a link on their website.

    Also available:

  • Idc about surge protection, but I do need life protection

    • Can you elaborate as to why you feel/imply that these are unsafe?

      • -4

just a gut feeling that the less certification they go through, the more chance of some random occurence of an electrical hazard

i guess the worst thing is infrequent sparking up

to each their own - in terms of risk management

        • But why do you feel/imply that these are unsafe?
HPM is a well-respected brand that has been around for a very long time. These are probably the best standard power boards you can buy.

As you seem knowledgeable in this area, could you cite the standards or markings one would look for on a product like this that would satisfy your requirements for safety? From the Amazon listing it does state that these boards are originating from Australia so I would be interested to know how potentially some standards aren't being met or could be improved upon etc.

            @peter05:

            that would satisfy your requirements

I think if the price was $20, it would meet the criteria of safety for op.

@No ONE: Although I may originally share a similar sentiment I think it's fair to engage in a discussion to understand what the original comment and its intention was. We could all be potentially pleasantly surprised by good reasons for why one seemingly similar product might be justifiably more expensive/cheaper than another

    Thanks OP.

Two of these should trigger Cashrewards' $3 cashback/$10 spend offer, assuming it's eligible for cashback.

looks like home improvement which is a 0% category

I thought it'd fall under Electronics but I don't really know how they categorise it.

  • How many amps are they rated for?

    • +2

99.9% of powerboards are rated at 10A.

      • -3

Kmart ones are rated 15A and are cheaper

        • +1

do you mind sharing a link to said product?

AFAIK its not possible to be rated for more than 10A if it uses a standard socket. A 15A socket looks completely different to a 10A one and the downstream devices can't have a total load greater than the incoming socket allows for!

  • What is the usual price?

    • +1

Usually around $9, which it's gone back up to.

  • +1

Back in stock for $4.50 now.

    • Cheers, have removed expiry.
