Based on the details, it appears to be an Australian model which is important as the maps are related to which country's model it is.

Not the lowest but is a good price since last JB and Amazon sale.

  • what's the lowest it has been?

  • What’s the diff between 6s pro, 6s sapphire and 6s pro solar??

    • +5

There are 4 main versions under 6s:
6s - no maps, no garmin pay, no music (I believe)
6s pro - full blown version
6s Sapphire - Sapphire glass instead of gorilla glass
6s Solar - has a solar ring but downgraded glass. Can charge. Tbh not worth it.

      This applies to 6 (47mm) and 6x (51mm).

I find just the Pro version are the best bang for your buck as it has all the features and you can always put tempered glass protector on.

Also, screen does look very dull with Sapphire glass.

I have 5x Sapphire and 6 pro. Screen on 6 pro has deep blacks and looks crisp. Sapphire glass has a blueish tint.

      • Basic Fenix 6s has garmin pay. No maps and no music

  • Very good watch, great metrics for health (way more advanced than the Vivoactive 3 it replaced), although maybe worth noting it is not touch screen. I bought the solar when it was on special (impulse buy) and didn't read thoroughly the specs.

I reckon the lack of touch screen is a feature on these. The buttons aren't susceptible to phantom touches, or not detecting anything, due to sweat on the screen/hands.

Got one of these for $474 from Amazon AU a little while after the JB deal, solid performer with really good battery life. The only thing I've been able to fault it on so far is the instantaneous pace readings (running) are usually out by 20% or so.

    • I have a 5x Sapphire but I found 6 Pro more of a lifestyle watch. I am not a runner but I love the body battery metrics, blood ox and stress measurement very useful.

Why didn't I pick up another watch in Garmin Lineup? I like the ruggedness of the watch and find the integration with MyFitnessPal very helpful. Also, 6 Pro feels like the right size as it can be worn under a business shirt.

It surprisingly tracks gym workouts well too.

The 6 pro was $479 a few months ago. I love the watch but the RRP of $1,000+ is insane and it's only really worth around the $500 price IMO

  • To those that have one - can you use it to map routes and then navigate them back? I do trail riding and have the worst memory!

    • I have a 6s Pro and Yes you can do that.

  • Do you think Rebel would price match this? Can get $600 Rebel gift cards for $546 (incl card fee) + $29 balance = $575

Garmin Fenix 6s Pro is also on sale at The Iconic. BEICONIC75 (first order only) coupon and Shopback $15 bonus cashback on $5 Vodafone sim purchase will bring down the price to $564.

    • The Iconic's deal looks great, unfortunately colour range is fairly limited (no rose gold for instance)

    • Yew thanks my man, grabbed a black pro 6s for $575 delivered, stoked as I've been waiting to grab one at a decent price.

      • If you had used ZipPay to pay you would have reduced price further down to $550. Also if you had bought 2 x $200 Prezzee gift card and swapped to Iconic gift card and pay rest through Zip, you would only pay $534.

  • Garmin has been going on sale alot lately, got a feeling a new version will be out anytime soon.

    • You could have said this anytime in the last 12 months. They are overdue an update but who knows with the chip shortage etc etc.
