    FASTMONTH is another code

  • so I can trial for 1 month free then cancel?

I would like to know how the 1000/50 will perform in my FTTP apartment

    • Yes, you can. This is commonly done.

      • Wouldn’t there be a connection fee though?

        • No, churning (moving from one provider to another provider) on NBN has no cost - much like changing mobile phone providers. It should seamlessly switch from your old provider to your new provider.

@S2: Ah, I was looking at their Opticomm plans since my building has that, they are charging $99 connection fee on those plans even though it’s also a seamless switch that doesn’t require them to visit.

            • @Lirrik: Thank you for clarifying. There are a lot of technologies to keep track off and clearly pricing is all over the place.

Terms and conditions state you must give them 30 days notice so you would have to give them notice the same day it is connected.

      • Phew, thanks for pointing that out.

  • Is Aussie Broadband supply modem at no extra charge ?

    • Modem or router?

Modem is free of charge from nbn.

    • -2

No you need to pay $149 for modem.
Good idea if you want to try before you buy and have your own modem I think otherwise maybe not worth it but have a look around and you can probably get a NBN certified modem for less elsewhere, I'm not sure though tbh.

ABB doesn’t mandate a router from them on NBN plans. You can BYOD no problem.

Also NBN “modem” (NTD box) is provided by NBN Co, not ISP.

      • To be clear, I'm the one that negged you to reduce the visibility of your comment. xmagic has the correct information. I think you may be confusing modem with router. They are two different devices.

  • How long does it take to churn to AB for nbn fttn?

  • Code is not working for me.

    • Aussie Broadband called me today and applied the free month promo directly without any hassles. Calling them up may also be a good option.
