I got a different offer of 5% cashback on $500 purchases towards end of Dec.

    • I got nothing :((

    • Did you get an email or text from them?

      • +1

Was an SMS with a link to promotion page on their website.

Get 5% cashback (up to $100) when you spend $500 or more on eligible retail shopping*
Available to the first 10,000 primary credit cardholders.

        • I saw it in my app but after I opted in, cannot find it anyway.

Can you post the details? what are eligible retail shopping and what are the expire day? So you need spend $500 in one transaction?

          • @jimwh: Promotion period for my offer is between 24 Nov to 1 Dec. 5% cashback (up to $100), on $500 or more eligible online shopping.
Unfortunately I didn’t open the T&C to see what’s considered as ‘eligible’.

            • @magster: I think mine says in store too

              • @ozbmm: Oops you are right. Made a typo. Suppose to be ‘retail’, not ‘online’

        • Thanks

    • Somehow got both offers

  • Nothing :(

Actually I just got the 5% back (up to $100) offer, I didnt get an email. What I did was logged into my Citibank app, in the same screen as your balances, near the bottom, a box had the deal. I opted in.

  • Got nada. Nothing new there.

Can someone who was targeted for this offer please describe how they input their promo code? I received the email, clicked on 'Enrol now' which took me to the app, but it is not clear where I should enter my promo code. I have gone into 'Earn more', clicked on 'Code' in the top right and pasted the code into the box, but when I press 'Apply code' I get an error message saying 'Can not find any voucher'.

I've also tried logging out of the app and inputting the code on the 'Apply Referral/Reward Code' box on the sign in page but I get another error message, this time saying 'The code you entered is not valid [10041].

    Thanks.

    • Also experiencing the same issue and would appreciate any advice!

    • Ended up working by clicking the "Enrol now" link on the email in a desktop browser, rather than mobile, so didn't take me to the app. Offer then shows up under 'My Partnerships' in the menu.

    • I can report that just doing the above didn't seem to track when making the purchase… but, on the app if you go to your account and then choose "My Partnerships" it will then show the Citi Exclusive perk, then clicking on that will provide you with a 'Start' button! Convoluted!

  • Got this deal too in addition to the Cashback offer for retail purchases over $500. Citibank are going ham on these promos and I'm loving it, especially with Xmas coming up fast!

  • So just confirming do you need to be targetted by Citi or Shopback for this promotion?

Also did everyone targetted receive the invitation by email or some other notification?

  • what is the email subject header??

<your first name>, Citi Cards Cashback Offer!

  • Turns out supermarket and petrol purchases might count after all? Guess we will find out in a few days. This is from a conversation with chat rep today…

"It's easier to know which one's do not count. Retail purchases count as from any purchase excluding (but not limited to) cash advances, balance transfers, special promotions, BPAY payments, government related transactions.

The reason why we warn about petrol and supermarkets is because if the cash function is used, it does not count, which is included on my restriction list above.

Some of them defaults to cash use even if a credit card is used as a payment method."
