This combined with a $310 11400 from scorptec is a pretty solid and well priced mid range option!

  • What's a good set of RAMs to go with this? Need minimum 32GB. TIA.

Edit: NM, this looks alright - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/660050

I noticed earlier HT selling it for $108 with the code, currently 10c cheaper with 3 left https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/185121177999

They're advertising the AX model though in photos + description but not title; of course most likely they'll send the non-AX.

    • It's advertised as the AX in the description. If they send the non AX then a refund they have to give

Gigabyte B560M AORUS PRO AX Intel LGA 1200 MicroATX Motherboard

The B560M AORUS PRO AX comes with upgraded power solution, incredible cooling design, all PCIe 4.0 design and outstanding connectivity to elevate your gaming experience to the next level.   Supports 11th and 10th Gen Intel® Core™ Series Processors   Dual Channel Non-ECC Unbuffered DDR4, 4 DIMMs    Direct 12+1 Phases Digital VRM Solution with 50A DrMOS   Shielded Memory Routing for Better Memory Overclocking   Fully Covered Thermal Design with High Coverage MOSFET Heatsinks    Expansion Slots: 2x PCIe x16 & 1x PCIe Express x1 - 2x M.2 Socket 3 Slots & 6x SATA 6Gb/s Connectors

      • Yea but you'd have to send it back anyway. Worth a shot though as they'd have to pay for the return shipping.

        • Everything indicates its AX, pics and main description so it should be. Only AX is omitted in the main ad.

@vinni9284: Not just title actually, also says twice just "B560M AORUS PRO" for MPN, and once for model https://i.imgur.com/oZKtSsD.png

They also have a different listing for the AX model here (albeit just 1 available, 1 sold) https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/184913465914

@MiscOzB: Thanks. I've bought one and they've already posted it. So when I receive it from Auspost in around 2 months due to their efficiencies, I'll let you know if it is. Thanks for the heads up. Cheers

            • +1

@MiscOzB: Yep. You're right! Just got mine today and it's definitely not the AX version. Clicked return and wasted 30mins posting it back. Worth a shot but we knew it's too good to be true for that price. Cheers

    • If that's really the AX version, then definitely a great bargain!

      • Yes it is. Look at the pics. The AX vs non is white-ish heat sink whilst non is black. Plus the description states AX. The only omission is the main ad

Pro version in a bundle: Bundle — Intel Core i5-11400 LGA 1200 CPU & Gigabyte B560M AORUS PRO LGA 1200 mATX Motherboard

    https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/bundle-intel-core-i5-…

  • I bought this for about $150 a few months ago and thought that was a great deal, this is insane.

No issues with it so far, very simple setup.

    • Bought this board a few weeks ago for $100
      Current CPU is $299.
      So basically the same

Should I go for this + i5 11400 the tray version plus delivery bringing it to $399 or should I go with the 11600k + MSI B560 Tomahawk combo?

    https://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/buy/bundle-intel-core-i5-…

I just bought a Lancool 2 case so wondering if I should go for a more form fitting ATX mobo with a better CPU at $100 more

    • Once you get to the 11600K you might as well get a 5600X which performs better and can be overclocked on B-series boards.

This 11400 + B560M bundle might be best for $359 delivered. Doesn't really matter if you go mATX or ATX unless you care about the aesthetic or want the extra PCIe slots.

      • Thanks, I did have a look at the MSI deal but would be happy to pay the extra $40 to get the Gigabyte which has a better review.

I want to upgrade from a i3 7110 and the GPU is a GTX1050 which I only use for dota and Microsoft office stuff.

I've only started looking in the past 2-3 months and hardly seen any deals for 5600x while this particular $399 combo has appeared twice.Trying hard to resist with Black Friday just around the corner!

  • im not sure why this mobo is constantly on sale, it was an absolute steal around $150 and this price is ludicrous compared to the competition.

    • Next generation CPU is released next week. That's why the prices are dropping

  • A warning, this mobo doesn't work with some 3600mHz rams, check the QVL list carefully. Maybe it's just a Gigabyte board thing?
I tried increase Dram voltage, which normally works on my other AMD mobos, but this board just doesn't like it.

    • +1

It's probably your CPU's memory controller rather than the board, you probably need to increase VCCIO/VCCSA. I've never heard of a board limiting memory speed outside of really high speeds like 5000MT/s+

      • It's not so much of limiting speed, I can normally just crack up the DRAM voltage to make RAM, that is not on the QVL list, to work on my X570 and B450 boards, but I cannot on this board. I will try to increase VCCIO voltage, I have only used MSI and Asus mobo recently, my last Gigabyte board was H77

    • Thanks I was thinking about getting this

I’ve checked pangoly but it didn’t have a tick, does this mean it won’t work? 1

EDIT checked the G.Skill website and it looks okay
